"From what I read earlier in this thread, dealer applies for "price protection" from FCA and gets reimbursed."
I wonder if they need to apply if i paid the full amount upon order. I just have to pay taxes and registration when it shows up. Sales person said im price protected. But the code isnt on the build sheet.

Mine went up $1,750 MSRP from the time I ordered (6/25/2021) to what the window sticker said when I picked it up on 11/5/2021 . Dealer stood by the original price agreement and never even mentioned the difference, nor did they try to add on anything else. That's a good dealer. The only Ram dealer in Grand Junction, Colorado. I suspect some other "less good" dealers might make an issue of it; I don't know. I don't think the dealer is "eating" anything. From what I read earlier in this thread, dealer applies for "price protection" from FCA and gets reimbursed.
Sadly, that is the way it is supposed to work, but doesn't. I have been trying for over a month to get them to honor price protection that was applied for. No go so far.

I understand that some dealers may feel like they have to 'make hay while the sun shines' but that's a crappy way to do business. I'm really hoping my dealer doesn't do that, cuz while I am a teddy bear, I got some Grizzly in me... LOL. I didn't get a 'mark dodge' deal, but a good deal for local, and I'll play any and every card I have to in order to get the price I agreed too. A friend of a former dealer employee deal only goes so far....

Whats everyone's experience with the msrp going up on a truck you ordered, did the dealer eat it or did you? Ordered my 22 3500 and should be in in a few weeks but the msrp when up a decent amount. Do you think the dealer will eat it or try to pass it on to me? Waiting for a email back from my salesman now about this.
I think I’m going to take the hit on my invoice increase, pricing wasn’t out when I ordered the truck.
