2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

How does your truck come with it unless you ordered it? Is it part of one of the packages? I’d be interested, it not for $1000… That’s why I didn’t add it. Did you pay for it and don’t need it?
I ordered it in June before the website was up and running to display the option descriptions. The way it was worded lead me to believe it was the 360 camera option for the truck, not a stand alone trailer system

Ahh. So it wasn’t a mistake or part of a package. You paid for it.

There were 20-30 held up for a long time (approaching 2 weeks) in October with Equipment List but no Window Sticker. Mine was one of the group. I pulled the build sheets to try to determine the most likely common denominator which was TTPMS sensors. They all broke free at once so the assumption was a shipment of sensors had made it thru the shipping fiasco.

This is just an example of what can hold truck in JS without Window Sticker. Other auxiliary parts such as TowMode Cameras, Trailer SurroundView Systems, Floor Mats, or 5th Wheel hitches - or items such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Power Folding Mirrors, or Sunroofs - or secondary vendor issues such as Bed Liner or Gooseneck Prep could also delay a truck. The TTPMS was only one of many examples that have been suggested as holdups.

And as far as telling them to remove an item that is holding up a truck - that certainly sounds like a practical solution until you think about the logistics of (1) identifying item or items holding up truck, (2) Checking Supply Chain for part / parts to see if any are in route and when expected, (3) contacting dealer, (4) dealer contacting buyer, (5) getting OK or not, (6) getting info back from Dealer to Manufacturer, (7) adjusting build paperwork and invoice, (8) pulling truck from storage and making any adjustments / completion without an item such as Power Folding Mirrors, (9) shipping VS (1) wait for part, (2) pull back from storage to complete, (3) ship.

Could it be done? Yes - Would it require additional effort on part of Manufacturer already stretched thin as to resources to set up and maintain system? Yes But If YOU were the manufacturer whose business is building trucks, faced with a few - say 10-20 trucks held up, and trying to turn out as many trucks as possible to meet demand in this time of more or less random parts shortages that could come in tomorrow or a month from tomorrow due to unpredictable shipping, which would you do?

We, myself included, tend to look at things from our perspective and expect information like we used to get from Amazon (which is also getting to be unreliable).

Just my 2 cents worth of response.

Best to all - and especially to the hundred and fifty souls who ordered in May-July and dont have Equipment Lists yet.

I’d think that also would be a problem. The factory pays for their labor and the dealer is independent of that. So then you’d have to deal with all the bs involved in the factory paying the dealer. Remember the dealer is completely independent of Stellantis/Chrysler. They just sell what Chrysler makes.
Not as hard as it seems, I was a dealer tech for 20 years, it happens more often than you realize

Billet 10 lug adapters machined and cryoheat treated for added strength. They will get anodized and studs pressed in. Parts are stacking up while I try to patiently wait for my baby to be delivered.
Got a pic of the wheels you're running?

FINALLY 5 months later got the Magic Willy Wonda Golden Ticket KZX!!! Dealer advised & @brv10 confirmed the truck was delivered to the dealer this afternoon!!! Hoping to be able to get it this Saturday. 3 hour drive to get it.
3500 Laramie Night MC SB SRW Fully Loaded w/Sunroof Granite Crystal Metallic
Picked it up today. Only got one pic today, will take more tomorrow and post a bunch! Way Way better in person!!

I've refreshes this thread 96 times a day since June but I took delivery of my truck this morning and forgot about it

Does anyone want a 360 trailer surround camera system? My truck came with it but I don't need it. Make an offer.

So if you have this as an option with ordered truck it all comes in a couple boxes? And dang that’s allot of stuff to wire up on the trailer idk about all that and dealer clicked on it so I will be getting as well

I’m sure it happens but I wouldn’t think it’d be on small stuff that the factory doesn’t have the time to do. I’d think it’d be the one off stuff or recall warranty stuff. Nothing like say removing a part from a build and having the dealer install it to make the wait less time?
What do you think?

It would be easy, those are cust installed items anyway, happens a lot.
That makes sense.
Well call them up and tell them we want our trucks and we’ll get whatever parts installed. I really want my truck!
Hey aren’t you getting your truck any day now?

True, that 360 camera is a plug into the truck and either install yourself on the trailer or take it to a trailer shop, you would be the one paying the dealer for install.

1. The Dealers are apparently responsible for doing a presale check on the relay recall on vehicles shipped after the recall
2. If recheck fails, Dealer gets to replace relay when available
3. I believe there is a Smog issue that EPA has temporarily waived to allow vehicles to be shipped with subsequent Dealer repair
4. There is a flash update to the Uconnect 5 screen that is apparently required prior to delivery on some vehicles

I agree I would not expect dealers to do a major rework taking truck apart to install chip or parts in dash for example

But I see no reason not to ship without TTPMS sensors or a Trailer mounted Camera to be delivered at a later date - they are in separate pkg for customer to install on trailer, not dealer install on truck

Correct, I checked my truck for the Uconnect update and didn't find anything nor did I see a date for certain vehicles on the update, maybe they are now updated, the exhaust recall was for a DPF sensor. I remember when we were installing those trailer cams on the trucks 3 years ago, not hard to do and the instructions a pretty thorough.

Hopefully this week I pick it up, but wouldn't you know it, 2 days I have back to back Dr's appts after work!
Of course. After waiting for ever and being ready to go when it comes you can’t. Happened to another couple of guys here too. I’m sure it’ll happen to me as well. I would like to say not funny but it kind of is!

Completely wiped out!!! Made the 14hr haul from Lake Charles back home and just got the truck in the garage. This truck is everything I imagined/hoped it would be! Put just over a thousand miles on it bringing it home. Only hiccup is figuring out the Apple CarPlay. Synced the very first time at the dealership and refused to sync afterwards. I’ll try to look into it after I get some much needed sleep. Pics I have from today show it dusty and dirty, I didn’t have them clean it up since I’m taking the truck in for ceramic coating/rust protection on Tuesday. I’ll post some better pics after the full wash and detail.

Don’t feel bad, my truck was delivered 10/07, I have been in Germany since end of September and won’t get back until 11/17. First thing I do is travel 200 miles to get it. Have been without a truck since April
