Hello,

I have a 2019 Ram 2500 6.7 Diesel. I am wondering if there's a way to tell if the truck is already setup for remote start and I just need the key fobs. My hood latch already has the connector wire hooked up to it. Is there any other way to tell?

The hood latch is the only thing you would need. Check out the other threads, you can also just solder the buttons on the fob (costs 12$ for the buttons) or pay hundreds for 2 new fobs (if you can get them) Once you have the fobs sorted out then you either need alpha obd or have the dealer enable the remote start function

So, since I already have the latch with wiring I just need to get the fobs sorted, then dealer enabled? Or is there some other latch I need. Sorry for the confusion. The other posts are somewhat confusing.

Great, just got off the phone with both local dealers. Neither of them will activate remote start through witech without purchasing the kit even though the truck is already fitted with everything *facepalm*

Looks like my only option is alphaobd

I made a mistake not getting it as for now it was just for the remote start so by the time i get everything for AlfaOBD i will be at 250$ (Cad) turns out the dealer visit for the remote start cost me 185$….. hind sight is always 20/20 lol
