2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

So just to understand. DLR is told by RAM, your truck will get to the DLR from "date to date" and all the DLR knows is that? So when truck shows up with 5-6 cars they have to rush and make room for the new vehicles? I thought they would at least know what day the truck cames in with their own inventory?

The delivery date provided is an estimate. You should wait until you are past your estimated delivery date to start asking questions.

I don't think there is a dealer in the country who has to make room for new inventory. Dealers are taking whatever they can get and have technicians available to perform PDI and clean up the vehicles. I assure you as soon as vehicles are delivered they make it a priority to have them ready to be sold.

Take a deep breath and relax, if your truck is not delivered by COB Friday then start by talking with your salesman.

C'mon RAM! You proved me wrong on the build date I said you would not make and you made it!

Today is the estimated ship date, can you keep rolling along in the right direction? Just add one more rail car for the satisfaction of proving me wrong again! Oh, and dont lose my key fobs :)
I was the same way, 11/6 build date. It was built that day, then went into JS until 0;50am this morning. Loaded up on the train headed north.
On this car also.

KZM,looks like it caught the train on 11/10 at 00:50 car #TTGX978890, hoping it's a quick trip to Eagle Pass and Port Allen!
Man with the scoop. For sure had the scoop on this.

Today was my estimated ship date. The truck did’t ship but I did get an update that it is in paint. No new ship date given but I’d guess sometime in the next few weeks.

Received the following email this morning;

Hello Mark,

this is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new 2022 Ram 3500 factory order status.

Good news! I show your order has completed factory production and is presently in the shipping process progressing en-route to your ordering dealership.

Given the early stages of shipping, an estimated delivery window is not yet available to share. I have reached out to our logistics teams to both ensure your order is prioritized for delivery as well as to collect an estimated delivery window to share with you. I hope to have additional news and updates to provide soon.

I will continue to monitor your order for additional delivery updates and I anticipate having further updates to share with you as they become available.

If you have any outstanding questions or order update inquiries, we do encourage you to reach out to your ordering dealership for the fastest response possible. Additional email communications provided to this email are un-monitored and will be responded to once additional updates are available to share.

Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Ram Truck Family!

Sincerely,

Jeff

Hopefully my dealer doesn't change the deal that I signed. They offered me $51k for my 2020 Rebel Trade. Vroom offered $51,800 but I don't want to lose out on the tax savings. I offered them multiple times to take me vehicle early as long as they offered me the tax savings. The manager called me and said that he would have to speak to the used car manager. I left 2-3 more VMs after that and he never got back. So my last VM was if I don't hear back then I assume the deal is still good to go. Normal conversations with my sales guy so no issues that I can see.

This is my 4th vehicle from them so I assume they wouldn't do me wrong.

Man that truck so ugly only its momma could love it. Let me take it off your hands. I will take care of it for you. Kicking myself now, as I had that color in mind. But went with a white Big horn in its place.
You Sir have one sharp ride for sure. Love that color combo.

Ram chat says that I am in transit now. Although I thought I already was. Hoping I’m on that rail car that left an 00:50 this morning.
If it is, its going to Port Allen LA then to Mark Dodge.:)

keep in mind that they have the right to refuse or change the amount of the vehicle value after its inspected by them. Can be as simple as not mentioning a scratch they find, rust, damage the carrier does in transit and blames on you the customer rather than their bottom line, etc. Most of these companies just have a car carrier/hot-shot pick it up and deliver to a partner that actually does the inspection for a final value.

I went to carmax got an inspection in person and givemethevin.com beat their offer by a few hundred bucks. Again, I was sketched out about the possibility of changing the value after receiving my truck but got lucky as someone locally offered my $2.5k higher in a private sale. Now I just whip around in my jeep and am truck-less with no end in sight. (My state does not have a tax break for trade-ins)

Bottom line, be as accurate as possible with your pictures and descriptions on these online sites. And keep in mind the instant value you see on your computer is subject to change. You'll always get higher price in a private sale if you can be patient and go without a truck while yours comes in.
Carvana is very lax on inspections. I sent them a couple photos and their rep did a very quick inspection when she came out. I purposefully left a couple of scratches off when I gave them the condition to see what would happen. She did a very quick walk around, put the keys in a lockbox for the hauler, signed paperwork and processed payment.

If dealing with Carvana, leave the exterior dirty.

They finalize and pay on the spot, it doesn’t go for a deep inspection prior to payment.

Vroom and Carmax are more picky.

Looks like my build sheet populated... it's a long read, no idea what build status code is under right now though. Power Wagon on the move!

I guess the next big update is when the Sticker populates. Until then its a guessing game if my truck had a bigger thumb than the others to hitch a ride :D

Still not getting here in time for our family trip, good thing the Rebel rides comfortable. Just sucks towing the wind sock (trailer) with a gasser...

Well, a little more than 24 hours since my truck left Saltillo on a truck. But it hasn't made the 3 hour drive to Laredo yet, according to the VIN Track. Maybe it stopped somewhere along the way for a margarita and didn't check in. Oh well, still waiting.

The good news is my dealer tells me that the shipping statuses have not been accurate for awhile. They tell me that vehicles just arrive one day without any indication that they've even been shipped. Hoping that's the case with mine.
