Thank you. I've always had toppers. I've got a 5th wheel hitch in my new truck, when it gets here, and don't want to have to pull the topper when I want to pull the camper.I have gone through about 14 winters with Retrax covers. In snow you obviously need to brush the snow off before opening. I have not had a problem opening as long as the snow is off. I have had 1 or 2 times over the years of not being able to open the cover with heavy ice. And of course I did not have any de-icer spray readily available. I have had water inside the bed very few times. Most of these times were because we knocked the drain tube out or off - usually when loading something into the bed. I had water one other time during a very windy rain storm. It resulted in small wet spots on the corners by the tailgate. The wet spots were maybe 12 inches in diameter. I have never had a wet box from a car wash. Overall I am very pleased with the 2 covers I have had, and plan to put one on my new truck whenever it gets here. My main piece of advise is make sure your drain tubes are connected.
Gotcha, thanks.I had one on my 2018 Power Wagon. Snow was no issue. Once the snow melted and refroze it pretty much didn't move.
