Good afternoon, just got done installing the BD Diesel 2wd low lock. Everything works as it should, pretty dang sweet.
My only complaint is; how the heck does the drivetrain control module Cover go back on? It’s like 10# of sh** in a 5 gallon bucket. I can’t get it to snap back on. I am probably missing something, any tips will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Does this mod work with a manual t-case? My front axle still has an actuator. My Understanding is that it just keeps the front axle unlocked.

It certainly does :), I have a manual t-case and tested it out today. You can hear the CAD actuator engage when in normal operation, with the bypass on, no CAD actuator sound.
It occurred to me today, there’s a another bonus with this setup.
You can run it in 4HI during bypass mode (which is 2HI) and entirely disable ESC:)
For those days you want to do donuts in the snow:cool:

But won't that make the t-case spin the front driveshaft? IOW, t-case is engaged and gear/chain wear is occurring.

Good point, indeed it does, it’s also engaged when it’s in true 4WD. Sure it may wear a little, I am under the impression it would be like dry firing a 1911. Both (dry firing and bypass mode) are going through the paces, just not having to do any real work.
To revisit the time when our trucks didn’t have any “nanny” controls. :)
It should be stated: that this is for entertainment purposes only; used on a closed course with a professional driver. ;)

Showing my lack of knowledge, please educate me. I've seen a couple references to using 2wd low for towing, but why? What situations would this be used in? Did a quick google and found the results lacking details.

I use my 2wd low when backing up my trailer to it's spot under a carport on a uphill driveway. I use to use 4 low but it's not a straight shot and I could feel the front end binding up while I was steering. The 2 Low fit the bill perfectly for me.

This^

Low range makes your 3.73:1 into 9.85:1 effectively.
