LETS SEE THOSE 35'S ON STOCK WHEELS

I've got a BFG 35x12.50 17 spare on the stock spare rim on a PW. I cut a little of the heat shield and got it to fit. Have to tilt the front end up as it's going up. Once over the track bar, its goes smooth. Pics in my build thread.

Recently installed 285/75r18’s on my new 2022 2500 Tradesman. The bigger tires do make a difference in ride quality above just lowering the pressure on the stock Transforces. Also installed the Thuren sway bar. Next up, Thuren front coils and Fox 2.0 ifp shocks on all four corners. Real interested to see how the big boy rides then.

Following to see how this turns out, eyeing the same items for my ‘21 Tradesman, the stock suspension is a bit harsh IMO for a 2500.

Any rubbing at all? I just installed 1 inch thuren coils, all 4 ifp fox shocks, and front and rear track bar. The ride is great but I still have my transforce and chrome clads on I cant decide on tire size. I might install there sway bar because I'm going to use some stock bigborn wheels I had powder coated and I don't want to rub at all.

I know what you mean relative to harsh. I came from a 2020 Ram 1500 Longhorn that had a very nice ride. I was not expecting the 2500 to ride near as nice but the advertisements that say the 2500’s ride is luxurious certainly have never driven one. I think the new springs/shocks should eliminate most of the harsh jolts over rough country rides. I’m hoping.

I have a very slight rub when I back up and turn the wheel to the lock. The tire is probably rubbing on the Weathertech mud flaps as I cannot see any rub marks on the inner fender well or suspension components. The slight rub will disappear after the new front coils are added.

Can you describe how your ride got better with the coils/shocks? Does it smooth out rough country roads? Does the track bar improve on-center steering going down the highway? These are qualities I hope to achieve.

I took its down washboard road at a good speed hitting some potholes and it was like a sponge absorbing feeling. Before it would be jarring and suspenseful travel would bottom out. I also noticed on street dips and bridge transitions the rear end stays more planted, I think that’s do to rear track bar. As far as front track bar I really can’t tell a difference in ride other than it did keep everything center. I did a kings steering stabilizer to can’t tell anything on that yet. I think with coils you will still get rub with stock wheels unless you do Thuren high clearance sway bar.

Well today I pulled the trigger on ordering the Thuren 2" coil spring kit that includes the track bar and four Fox 2.0 IFP shocks. Sure hope this $1410 makes the big truck ride smoother. I am a little concerned after talking to the Thuren rep as he indicated that the 6.4 Hemi Ram 2500 is a little more difficult to get to ride smooth as compared to the diesel. We will see. He said I would notice an improved ride but until you can ride in the truck before and after its hard to say how good the improvement will be. Now I just have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the parts to show up. You know your truck rides a little rough when the wife gives you a green light to upgrade the suspension on a new truck. By the way, my truck sits 2.0" lower in the front on the left side and 2.25" lower in the front right. I did not really want to change the rake but this is the shortest soft coil (2" lift) for the Hemi. I am hoping after the new front coils are installed that the springs settle and the front end sits lower than the rear. Will report back once the kits installed and have tested the new ride quality.

Are you on stock wheels ?
