Getting rid of chrome on a Limited

Has anyone paint matched the grill surround and deleted all of the chrome? I have my 19 coming in this month. I haven't seen anyone make a Limited look more like a Laramie Sport. If you've done it, please post pics!

I’m fairly certain that hasn’t been done yet, but I’ll be looking for some method of removing or covering much of the chrome on my Limited once it arrives.

Well, I suppose I will show myself at the end of this month. We have a '16 25FB International BTW.

I have a Laramie sport grille surround ordered, changed out hood badges, tailgate badge and grille badge, and had my vinyl guy wrap the window sills. He tried on the door handle strips but where the indents are it bubbled overnight in his shop. Have fully black Cummins badges to put on as well but here’s how it’s sitting so far.

I’m up in Canada so would be less in USD but it was around $80/ badge, the front RAM was I think $60ish, the window sills he did for $80 since it was there getting ceramic coating anyways. The grille surround is going to be around $1300 with paint. Still figuring out what to do for the rest of it or just to leave some

I don’t, just got parts guys to look it up, i can grab them once it comes in. It comes as 4 separate pieces, the top strip, bottom center section, and each bottom corner. Also there’s 3 options for each one, Chrome, black, and paintable from what it sounded like

Thanks, appreciate it. Black would be easy, but painted will probably look best. I am thinking of going dark gray/gunmetal With my billet silver for my trim and badging (will be removing side spears completely). Something different.

Its been done. I saw a white SRW Limited here in Colorado yesterday with paint matched surround. Here is a link of Firepunk Diesel in Canada that did the surround in black. Also dechromed the body side molding, emblems and mirrors.

I have been slowly working on my 2019 Ram 3500 SRW that I picked up on 11/8. The suspension components were a beating to actually get. At this point, I have done almost everything I am planning to do. I have not completely blacked it out because you can order a Laramie that way so I wanted it to be a little different. In addition, I actually like the limited grill. So far, this is what I have done...

• Carli 2.5" level kit - with Fox 2.0 shocks on all 4 corners
• Carli track bar
• Carli sway bar
• Fox 2.0 Steering stabilizer
• Roll n Lock bed cover
• XD 838 Mammoth wheels with Nitto Ridge Grapplers - 35 x 12 x 20
• Ram paintable grill surround
• Removed Limited, 4x4 emblems on tailgate
• Removed the Cummings emblems on the side
• Painted 3500 emblems with Chrome 3500

Things that I still have left to do:

• Remove the chrome rub stripe on side
• possible replace chrome window seal
• Add Demco Recon 5th wheel hitch
• Add 50 gallon fuel tank

It’s all stick on. Asked dealer to remove it for mine. No tabs.
