2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Cancelling my truck today . Dealer called and said star has no eta on recall fix and could sit till Feb 22 until resolved . Complete bs as members are driving recalled trucks off the lot
Show them this forum with other people driving it. My buddy is the head diesel tech at the dealer I ordered from and he said there is a recall but no stop sale on HD trucks yet. I’d fight for it

New order placed last week. Backed out of my Laramie due to camera packages not being available. Driving from South Florida to Louisville, KY for this pricing. 4% off invoice and possibly better once First Responder pricing is available in the coming weeks. My salesman, Steve Hood has been great to work with. Also ordered a Pacifica same day at 4% off invoice. He's looking to move metal and taking orders at 4% off invoice or better!
Sounds
For the guys with the mountain brown and light frost interiors, what color weather techs are you getting?
Cocoa or Tan?
Im leaning twd tan but the cocoa has my interest peaked
Black/Lt. Mountain Brown Interior here also. Had not even thought of any color other then black in the mats. May give this more thought.

I’ve literally showed my salesman the spreadsheet and the owner of best ram in Plymouth ma refuses to sell due to it failing the relay test . If they didn’t damage my damn truck 2 weeks ago it would be in my driveway

I’ve been browsing the order tracking sheet and have a question for those in the know. What makes a limited more expensive than a longhorn? I was under the impression that aside from some trim pieces and a different color interior, they’re the same truck. But while looking at the order tracking sheet it seems like a Limited is between $2-$5k more than a longhorn with basically the same options and equipment?

I’m a firm believer in things happening for a reason. What if the truck would have caught fire in your garage? Probably would have been more pissed than you are now.

Everything happens for a reason. Take a breath, this is just a small bump in the road.

According to stellantis and star there isn’t a fix they told dealer to hold my truck until engineer calls . They said it could be months

If they don't turn right around and sell your truck, you can bet there is someone that would be all too happy to take it as a demo or a loaner. Don't give in!

Could they take parts off the next dealer allocated truck that comes in with a post- Oct 9 build date?

This mornings super prompt response from Renae at Mark Dodge (less than an hour).

“Good Morning. Your truck has been completed and has been shipped to storage at the plant to wait for final inspection, invoicing and rail assignment. Check back with me in about a week to see if we have another update.”

Guessing it’s rail that’s the hold up, but then who really knows!
She is the bomb!
So your truck took about 5 weeks from order to built! Now hopefully less then a month to ship. Ooooh that makes me a bit optimistic. Scary.

However optimistic I am due to all the posts of build sheets and window stickers today this was the saddest and funniest post at the same time.
The sad, obvious, our buddy is getting *******.
Funny= Ram cares. I like you already Limited Longhorn, you’re one of those glass half full guys with rose colored glasses.
I never got them glasses. Seriously though, I wish I did. Damn glass is only half full when I fill it only halfway.

Yours is the only one I have seen going to Utilimaster
Great...

It also doesn't show any train shipments. Every leg shows truck with the final leg being from Laredo to my dealer which is about a 3 hour drive from Laredo.

I wonder if they’re just ******* you cuz they want to sell your truck to someone else? Not sure if they could take your money and then after the loooooong wait screw you like that. Definitely a good excuse they use but maybe you could do some research and get your fight on.

Leather is different, trim is different, the grill may be different and the adaptive lights are different. 5k different, well not sure about that. I also hear that it‘s tough for Laramie’s and Longhorns to get the power folding mirrors lately (read carefully, the sheet says man/folding pwr/memory mirrors on the Laramie) when I checked on 10/14/21.
I say this cuz I wanted to get the optioned out Laramie but after so many things I read and heard I decided not to take a chance.

When you backed out of the Laramie order was the dealer able to cancel? Or will the dealer still eventually receive your Laramie order? If I knew that I would still keep my place in line....I would do the same thing...cancel the Laramie order and order a Limited. I say this as I'm kind of wishing I had ordered a Megacab and 3:73's instead of crew cab with 4:10's.

@brv10 do you know if its actually possible to cancel the Laramie order without the dealer being stuck with it later on? I ask because my dealer is a small dealer and he may not be able to sell the loaded Laramie. Thanks in advance.

The grill is for sure different. I thought the leather in limited and longhorn were the same material just a different color. Thought the lights were all the same for both trims too.

I ordered my longhorn before the power folding mirrors got scarce. The truck is already built and the equipment listing shows that it indeed does have power folding mirrors so I’m thankful for that!

Now I don't see utilimaster anymore.
