2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

First post for me, but have been following along here since we ordered 6/19. Dealer told us today that our truck status is KZ-LD & that it is delayed in transit. He said it will go from Saltillo plant to Altamira port then by boat to arrive at the Brunswick, GA port on 12/16. Then truck will go to Lawrenceville, GA and finally come to our dealer in Lexington, SC. I do not think in all 11K+ posts anyone else has mentioned their truck coming by boat. Has our salesman lost his mind or is it possible that our truck really might take the slow boat to get to us?
You are in JS-LD status and yes it is going by boat, weird! 2 1/2 days by rail and 45 days by ship! You will get a wash and wax though!

My extended journey has just begun. I've got an order placed for a 3500 CC SRW long bed Limited NE in Granite as of yesterday. Started with power folding mirrors and built a truck around them. Deliery estimate is ten to twelve weeks, or maybe ten and twelve weeks......

It is very possible it could come by ship....I read that the ports were really backed up in Georgia (as well as the west coast) I think Savannah due to all of the orders of goods after covid and everybody is trying to stock up. We were in Savanah (l'm retired military and wife is still active duty) our last tour. It was a busy port before Covid that's for sure.

It's going to the Port of Brunswick in Ga.

You diesel guys and these power folding mirrors lol. I better see y'all on the highway flapping them to go faster or something, indeed a build fetish I keep seeing .

Not gonna lie, I folded mine in on the highway once while I was watching the mpg screen. Nothing changed haha. I did use them a lot on narrow trails or alleyways. With my garage being so small it’s nice not having to get out and manually fold them.

Asked my salesman at the dealership to check and see if there were any updates to my truck and was told he couldn’t get any updates until it goes into the shipping phase.

Sounds like your salesman is about as informed as mine. They definitely have the means to pull build statuses but they either don't know that or are just lazy.

I ordered mine through a commission free dealership. The price was very straight forward and easy but they definitely lack on the customer service side of things. If it wasn't for this forum especially @OfficerDirtySanchez and @brv10 I would have no idea the status of my truck.

He told me when it went to D1 and got the estimated shipping date. Not sure if he doesn’t know or just doesn’t want to check.
I got mine at invoice but of course seeing all the people who are getting theirs at 5% below invoice at Mark dodge I kinda wish I’d known about them. Even having to go from Michigan to Louisiana I’d have still saved thousands.

I wish that "sold orders have ALWAYS had priority over dealer stock" was true. Sadly however, I have had other experiences with FCA. October 1 2014 ordered and paid 5K deposit on 2015 Hellcat. August 2015 (10 1/2 months later) was notified they (FCA) decided to decline my order but would give me a discount equal to the price increase of the 2016's if I would like to reorder. Ordering dealer had provided VIN at time of order. Two other time since then I have had issues along the same lines. Different dealers on all occasions. So in my mind it really is a crap shoot as to IF/When my truck will be delivered.
Well you did order a very "special" vehicle with limited production. They can always make a lot of $$$ off of those. We had dealers years ago selling the Vipers for 25 - 50K over MSRP just because they could.... I know the hellcats are a limited production vehicle so I can somewhat understand that. I should have qualified the "sold order always have preference over dealer orders for plain jane vehicles like a pickup truck....lol My dealer explained that a sold order is guaranteed $$$ so the preference in production will fall to those vehicles. My guess is for every sold order they have they build 2 dealer orders. Agree that it would not make sense just to prioritize a sold over all dealer orders. Some dealers are getting new stock in, some sit with empty lots. My truck has been in transit for a month now.... My guess is FCA or Stellantis (who ever the hell that is) who now owns FCA prioritizes their dealer orders based on that dealers past performance and order history.

Got my email from cryptosticker this morning that says my build sheet and monroney sticker are "found" however when I click on the window sticker it still says nothing found for this VIN. Any insight? Glitch? Shipped? Sitting?? Spin the wheel for your answer???

Well mine is in Baltimore enjoying the view of the Chesapeake Bay while waiting on a truck to go 100 miles. It has made it through final inspection there. So 10 extra days on the train was ok . Did get a email from Ram Care :
