Got this from dealer this morning. Nothing about stop sale or engine fire recall but apparently there is an emissions issue???

I contacted salesman to see if I could modify order and he said he would contact rep. Long story short: the safety and tow tech groups are no longer available on Laramie (grayed out on order screen) only available Longhorn or Limited so I placed a new order, back to the end of the line for me

Hi ElkRam - Did your salesman know if the tow tech change is permanent in packaging options per model or if it is only temporary due to chip supply issues?

Seems like it’s temporary? Available on Limited Longhorn so they may be saving chips for higher trims??

What does the “build priority” number mean? First order was 1 and this one is 99.

116888 6/29 order, BH CC 6.7 in paint as of 10/19. Anyone know how long till window sticker and build sheet?

I would think he is referring to the issue of the Cummins powered trucks being shipped without one of the sensors in the emissions system which monitors the particulate filter. It is a known issue and something that is supposed to be disclosed to you if you order a Ram with the Cummins engine (SO or HO). Ram cut a deal with the EPA to allow them to sell the trucks absent that sensor until they were available at which point a recall was to be issued and the dealer would install it. If they’re now fixing that before they’re sold, that would be great. However this may be yet another case of misinformation between Ram corporate and dealerships. Just my 2 cents but regardless!

Mine arrived at dealer yesterday , picking it up Fri, but drove by this morning to get a quick look at it. This will be my first Ram. Can't wait to take it for a ride...straight to the tire shop.
I appreciate the good info on this site, already helped me save a few bucks on a bed cover.

Looks exactly like the truck I ordered except I got the Ram boxes! Very nice looking truck!
