Any updates on upgrading from Uconnect 4/4C to Uconnect 5?

I've seen a few posts regarding making the upgrade. Of course, it is a quite involved upgrade, not simply plug and play. But I haven't seen any new posts or replies about it for awhile.

You few that were investigating/researching/tinkering about this, any luck? Possible to do now? I am very interested in this upgrade and am holding off upgrading my 8.4 to a 12 because of it.

So do you just need to see the connections, maybe tinker around with the software, etc?

I just need to swap the new radio module in when I get it. I’ve known what the new connections are for almost a year since I’ve been planning this.

I bet it is, considering it’s a 2k upgrade cost when ordering. Probably costs more after the fact.
