2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I'm shocked that people buying $70k and $80k products are in positions where they can not absorb 6 grand to get it done.

No, I take that back. I'm not shocked. Forget that I'm here.

You have to remember the majority of people purchasing 70-80k trucks are financing them for 84 months and putting minimal downpayments down. People are more concerned with their payment vs the purchase price. So yes, I will agree with you that most people don't care about 6K and as mentioned above this is exactly why dealers can get away with ADMs.

Do dealers have to clearly show ADMs?

Worst case scenario, reorder from one of the “friendly” dealers such as Mark Dodge, etc. Even if you have to Pay $500 - $800 for shipping, you would be well ahead.
Yeah, I had that same thought. The only reason I didn't go that route initially is because I'm saving $4k in sales tax with my trade in, which my dealer already has on their lot. I'm just going to have to have faith that my long time dealer will make it right in the end. I had walked away from another dealership that offered to sell at invoice with the same trade in numbers after I researched the Tread Lightly affiliate pricing and my usual dealer said they accepted it and that 3500's were part of the program. Had I had an inkling that wasn't the case I'd have gone with the other dealership. I'll just have to see how it plays out, and hopefully by the time the truck shows up they will have added other models to the program making it a non issue.
This shows the true integrity of the dealership. If they agree to a price when you order then back out of it it will be my last dealings with the dealership and word of mouth will make or break a company over time.

Thank you. Couldn't have said it better myself. It's not the money, it's the principle at this point.

Sure, integrity & principal mean a lot but the dealer also has no control over what incentives, rebates or what affiliate programs are available, the manufacturer does so why should they absorb a $6k loss because Ram pulled their programs? Especially when they will just turn around and sell your order for MSRP, making even more profit. Just cancel your current order and order thru Mark Dodge. You're not going to get affiliate pricing no matter how much you bitch & moan about, that deal has been pulled and no one here cares if you cancel your order. If so concerned about price then you should have went with MD or ordered a cheaper optioned truck to begin with. The tax savings is minimal and if your that close to the edge you should have considered it prior to ordering. I get wanting the best deal possible, which is why I went to MD like a ton of others here.

And sure, you would think word of mouth means something still, but it doesn't, at least with dealerships. Peoria Ford is one of the biggest ripoff artists in our state, they sign and agree to pricing on a contract then add in an ADM after the fact or upon delivery and you either pay it or walk. I ordered a Shelby thru them years ago, had everything in writing, car shows up they added $7500 to the price and expected me to pay it, I told them pound sand and ordered elsewhere. Guess what, 9 years later they are still in business, playing the same games and yet they are as busy as ever, especially in these times

And if you pull your order soon enough, maybe the dealership won’t get that truck to sell.

$6000 is exactly half what I made in my first year out of college, full time. That's 6 months of 60-70 hour weeks if anyone thinks 6k doesn't matter. :)

Pretty sure there aren't any college kids here ordering $70k+ trucks. And if you hadn't realized, minimum wage has gone up considerably and most college kids are making $17-20/hr and up. Not sure what job you worked for 60-70hrs/wk for 6 months but you were either born in the 50's or are a sucker to work that cheap!! Hell, come work for me and I'll gladly pay you $10/hr and only work you 40hrs a week for 15 weeks to get that $6k

Intrgrity counts for me too. Found a 2021 2500 Longhorn almost exsctly what i eanted 200 miles away. Shoeing at MSRP less incrntives that did not apply togeneral public. Almost went up to buy it but asked for out the door price so i could bring $ and they added $5000 to MSRP and said we could negotiate when i got there. Truck is still there a month later.

They won’t be getting my business . When I have agreed on deal that is what it will be!

Once again, they have no control over the programs the manufacturer decides to pull, why should they absorb a $6k loss? Are you that dense and have no business sense??

Where is the official proof the affiliate pricing has been pulled? I’ve seen some documentation stating that some 2021 vehicles have been pulled and that some dealers may neglect to participate but besides a post here, nothing official that all affiliate pricing has been eliminated.

Seems like this thread has started to veer drastically off course from legitimate tracing and news to loads of unconfirmed rumors.

Here is the proof you ask for, it has been posted before. It is up to date, scroll to the second page and you will see that there are only 2) 2022 "Eligible Vehicles: Giulia, Stelvio – eligible as of 8-27-2021 Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer – eligible as of 9-28-2021"

Did they give you a wholesale trade or a retail trade? Glad I’m dealing with the general manager that has integrity and the price we agreed on stands. If you trade in your truck and they are going to give you a discount yea get wholesale trade price. I have business and I make money at it. I’m not stupid to pay MSRP on any thing I buy like many people.
