2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Yeah, but the rock chip resistance is a huge advantage. I've come to realize that the younger folks like the mean blacked-out look, and the older guys like chrome. Being an older guy I like friendly chrome, and reject badass black. :)
I will never buy a painted bumper again - bought a 2013 Longhorn - back bumper started rusting/pitting and Ram replaced it - same thing with front bumper a bit later and they said no - we already paid for one bumper and that is what happens when you buy a painted bumper instead of chrome.......not happy after buying their top model truck, :-(

What brand of brush guard do you have on your truck? thanks
The 2006 had an Onki. A bit pricey but all stainless and worth every penny, quick release levers on the sides would allow you to lean the top out to open the hood. Never rusted.

Every picture of a 2022 2500 Longhorn I can find on the interweb has those dang painted holes. :( I will not sleep tonight, I feel cold one coming on…..or 12.

Just order up some of your own style wheels I don’t like factory wheels to be the same as everyone else.

These are the ones waiting for my limited to come some day

So do we know forsure that there is going to be a stop sale? Does this affect the truck leaving the factory and being delivered to the dealer?
It has already been confirmed there is a stop sale. As far as what it encompasses, that's still not clear.

Jesus. WTF is a stop sale? Exactly what it sounds like I’d assume. This situation just keeps going from bad to worse.
It has to do with incoming vehicles. its a recall of some sort, meaning the vehicle can't be sold until the recall is remedied. As far what what the recall is and the VINs affected are not known yet.

To be clear, I am talking about a 2021 Ram 2500 Laramie that is in transit.

I wouldn’t worry about any stop sales unless there’s no parts for the recall or they don’t have a remedy. No vehicle at any dealer can be sold with an open recall. Doesn’t matter what the recall is whether it’s a valve body or a software update. If your truck doesn’t pertain to the recall you’re good but if it does then the vehicle can’t be sold without it being performed.

You won't see a build sheet until the build has started and a window sticker until it's complete.
I feel like build sheet and window sticker questions are asked over and over again, so sorry to be a moron here.

But just to be clear, is the window sticker issued at the end of production or once it’s invoiced and shipping begins? I feel like Ive heard either here or in the 21 thread months ago that it’s the latter case. I’ve got my build sheet but my “estimated” ship date isn’t till 10/18. So I haven’t bothered to check in now that I know it’s began being built until I see it ship. Mainly curious if Im correct in that I can just watch for the window sticker to populate to know it’s left the plant.

Window sticker when it's released from the plant ready to be shipped. Doesn't mean it's actually shipping, just no longer under factory control

I noticed on my POC it has CLF(front and rear rubber floor mats). Are these the molded all weather type and will I be given the regular mats as well?

If this helps any: My build sheet appeared on 10/5/2021. My window sticker appeared on 10/8/2021 at which time my truck was sent to storage (or maybe even before this). My truck shipped out from the factory on a rail car on 10/10/21.

Surfs2snow1 nailed it. Seems they are getting built much faster with parts being reserved for the higher trim levels. I haven’t talked to the dealer yet as my contact has been out sick. But I think I might.

Wrong . 6/14 Limited order on a 4/21 reorder. Get in line.
