2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Thanks…I think what makes mine a bit hard to find is that it is a gasser with air ride and 4.10s and towing tech. Most of the higher end, tow oriented builds are Cummins.
Yes, Cummins….It’s time to come to the dark side brother. We’ve been waiting for you…..

You would be surprised how little updates they come out with on radios. Pcm and Tcm get updates all the time Along with some others but rarely do radios get new software unless it’s a known issue from the software. It took 6months for them to issue a radio update on the 4c 8.4 when it came out when they were going black and wouldn’t let dealers order radios without the update being performed and jumping through a lot of hoops.
Then they are not allowing updates via the site or even downloads anywhere. We know for a fact that my radio firmware is older than later 2020 builds. There's also some thought that some of the DIY sales code additions we're trying to do that are available on the newer models are not just a BCM issue, but perhaps a radio firmware issue. Sure would be nice to be able to do my own updates.

Brutal your rig looks awesome, I want to camp with you lol

Meh. We don't rally "camp." More like house at the lake. :)

The 5th has been "camping" thrice without the boat. Shakedown trips in 2018 and 2019 with friends sans any boats, and Dove hunting this year.

Thanks for the compliment. The 2020 was a big upgrade from the 04.5 2500.

So, this happened today...
I picked up my new pickup from Mark Dodge. Lovin' it!

Out with the not-so-old (2020 Pearl White) and in with the new (2022 Maximum Steel).

I'm feeling very fortunate to have ordered July 31 and have taken delivery today. Best of luck to all of you.

Sandi, Aaron and everyone at Mark Dodge were great to deal with. Many thanks to this forum for making me aware they exist! All communications were spot on and expectations were set and met, exceptionally well.

I had a similar issue with the 8.4 UC4 in my 2018 in July. An OTA update bricked it. The dealer had to attempt the software update twice before they could order a new radio. It took about a month for the new unit to arrive.
I wonder if thats what happened to mine because it worked fine at the dealer and then crapped out 2 hrs later. Maybe it received its first OTA update at that time.

Well you guys are gonna love this pic, but yeah been driving or at the dealer for 16 hours. Finally just got home. Love the thing. First impressions, it’s awesome. The did they flash update for the TSB yesterday but of course UConnect 5 is still super buggy but its whateves (OTA anyways). Steering wheel seems a little aligned to the right but I’ll check it out and sort it if I need to. Also some minor glass scratches on the instrument cluster glass, very strange but they said just bill them and they’ll take care of it. Dealer and my salesperson were great. Info is on the right side of that doc. Got $1,095 off which isn’t bad for nowadays plus $50k on our trade (a 2020 2500 w/ 14.5k miles on it). Decided on leasing it, was over $600 cheaper per month vs financing, and $100 cheaper than our old payment on our trade. Put down $20k of our trade, and got back over $9,400 back as an equity check; the rest of the $50k was payoff on their end. Interest was about 2.4-2.6%, can't remember (leasing is money factor anyways); through U.S. Bank. Just setup my iPhone 13 Pro 2 days ago, so the pics are lit. But yeah lemme know what ya guys think and if ya have any questions.

Both factory sunroofs leaked?

(2022 Maximum Steel).

Beautiful truck! I was surprised to hear the color was MSM, I had initially thought it was Patriot Blue. It looks a bit darker and more dark blue than the once I have seen in person. That is a very tough color to judge as it looks completely different in pics than in person and looks nothing like the configurator. I ordered the same color too so I'm not picking on it. Congrats on your purchase!

Do you mean rotationally, or horizontally? Because the steering wheel on the 4th gen cabin is offset from the cluster center by a little.

If you have to get it aligned, be sure to use Thuren specs which recommend as close to zero toe as you can get.

What brand rear mud flaps is that on the new truck? Going to mount some on mine before leaving there when its in.
Nice looking truck for sure.

I agree, warranty work should not be denied by same brand dealer. Is everyone that bought from Mark Dodge going to travel across the country to get something fixed?

People will not drive across the Country to get service work done but they will to save a few thousand when they purchase their vehicle!
I can not blame the local dealer if they will not fix the UC5 problem if it is only going to pay about a 1/2 hour in warranty. No doubt, if you
would have purchased the truck from your local dealer, they would have been more than willing to fix the problem.

Awesome pic. What was your trade? My dealer is giving me close to $80k for my 20 2500 limited

Trade is in my signature, it was a 2020 Ram 2500 HD Big Horn Night Edition Crew Cab 4x4 6’4” Box Gasser. Here’s the link if ya wanna buy it :)

Other the Air Updates. All new software systems in cars do that. So long as it can turn on, it can update itself or via one of us with a prompt without going to the dealer. My Land Rover and my dad’s Genesis does that too. Called OTA in the biz :)
I knew what that meant, you said still buggy like you were having issues with yours at the moment. I’m sure you meant Over not Other.

Ok will do, and I mean rotatonally. Yeah horizontally I’m well aware of the 4th Gen cab setup and steering wheel placement. This is my 4th ram (2nd Hd) had a 2019 1500, the 2020 2500 I sold yesterday, 2021 1500, and now this 2022 2500.

I knew what that meant, you said still buggy like you were having issues with yours at the moment.
I mean as in, you click this and it does one thing, and click it again and it either does nothing or changes what it does. I’m very much computer savvy and know how UConnect works, it’s just buggy as in, 1 sec it works and the next it does something you don’t want it to do. Apply CarPlay for example, the overlay changed its positioning multiple times, switching fm channels would go forward than back on its own, couldn’t connect back to Apple CarPlay after getting out for dinner and coming back. So just stuff like that. It’ll all work out I’m sure, just needs constant updates over the next 6 months probs lol
