2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I'm in the process of building a Ram 3500 I sent my local dealer a build I had done on the ram truck site. I selected Omaha Orange for the color the dearler is saying that it's not available. Dose anyone know if this is true I can find where it can be verified.

You should try givemethevin.com before selling to Carmax. Apparently they offer more than Carmax. Let us know if you try it. I'm curious for when my truck arrives if selling it instead of trading would be worth while.
I just tried that website, their initial offer was lower than the carmax online offer. Im going into carmax today to get an assessment. givemethevin did just call and say they will beat any carmax offer or give you $100 so I'll provide you an update later on with how it shakes out! Ready too offload my truck now since used prices keep going down. I'll drive my Jeep TJ until the new beast arrives (whenever that may be). No towing until next year.

The 2022 online builder is available for Ram trucks Canada. You can go online and see the colors available there (not sure if it will be different for US trucks but I doubt it). The colors they offer for a tradesman are Bright White, Billet Silver Metallic, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic, Diamond Black Crystal Metallic, Hydro Blue Pearl coat, Patriot Blue Pearl coat, Flame Red, Delmonico Red Pearl coat, and Olive Green Pearl coat.

There is an article here:

That discusses the ending of low volume colors for model year 21. I would bet that that continued over to model year 22 as well

What really grinds my gears is the fact that just searching the last couple days for 2022 Power Wagons on google and find an awful lot of dealer stock! A lot that are the same as my build but much later vins. So Ram pretty much stuck it to the early order guys to give dealers some inventory.

Thank you!

that’s my build sheet there , 22’ laramie 6.7l cummins
The BG status makes me think it is one of the items on there that FCA doesn’t like and the only one on there that sticks out to me is LPD (like that doesn’t belong there). If it was me I’d be asking my salesmen’s sales manger to contact FCA and ask WTF. We literally have the same build, down to the color, minus the switches, VSIM and LPD + I have blind spot monitoring.

EDIT: I just realized you’re in Canada so I’m definitely guessing because the packages are obviously different.

That's because RAM has to wake the hamster up to power the website. He's the same hamster that picks which build is scheduled. He's having to pull double duty since the one that powers the 2022 build configurator died.

I’ve been waiting for my 3500 DRW HO longhorn since July 29th. All options except the sunroof. Currently still at D1 status and no idea what my expected build date or ship date is. My fingers are getting sore from being crossed for so long….

700ish is a number I remember being mentioned. But only if they weren’t placed in May or early June.
Assuming 700 a day x 365 days = 255,500 - VINs for 2021 go into 700,000 range so must be higher a lot than 700 a day or even 700 an 8hr shift - even if they are working 3 shifts x 365 days it would need to be 700 a shift - I would believe 800-1000 per 8 hr shift considering down time.

Or maybe thats why they are still working on 2021s.

Does anyone know is they have a stash of partly built trucks waiting in a storage area like Ford had waiting for semiconductor parts?
Maybe thats what happened to the unfinished 21's and the early 22's?

I just ordered mine today dealer says 8 weeks lol don't see that happening.. Goodluck on getting yours though!

Just found out my ‘22 Ram 2500 Laramie that I ordered mid August has an expected ship date of November 3rd! Super excited to get my new truck. Was figuring with the chip shortage and shutdowns that it would end up like so many other vehicles parked in a lot somewhere waiting for parts to arrive so it could me finished.
