2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Just an update, as of 10/5 I'm in JS status which is storage waiting to be shipped I believe. As a reminder this is a 3500 DRW CC LB Longhorn with most of the bells and whistles (no sunroof). Ordered around 6/15

6/14 ORDER date. A loaded 3500 Limited HO MC NE Sun Roof all toys and options SRW 4x4.

VIN = 3C63R3PL2NG107372

Me and tcuweimer have been passed over…

…there IS, NO HOPE. For us, or anyone earlier.

Really happy for all you guys who ordered your trucks in July, August, and September who are getting them…. …and celebrating . Cheers to you.

I have made the decision that I will be ordering a loaded F350 or F450 soon. And then going on a f@&k Ram social media rant.

I understand your frustration - but also believe Fxxx and Cxxxx having problems. A suggestion - order another Ram and a F350 at same time and see which comes in first.

While passing the time waiting for by build ordered 8/3, I have seen pictures both ways on the interior which shows a standard shift lever on the steering wheel for which I've had forever. Then I see some pictures with a knob on the dash with P R N D. So, on a 2022 is it a shift lever or a knob on the dash?

Only for the 1500’s

I contacted Ramchat last night and was going to have a little fun, cause that’s how I get my kicks. I planned to save the conversation and show it here but was cut off, like being hung up on. Anyways it went like this :

Hello, thank you for purchasing a Ram blah blah blah..
Me: I would like to know where my truck is.
Please supply me your VIN, address….
Me: I did
We show they have your order and are currently gathering parts, it will soon be scheduled …..
Me: Can’t you just go out back in the factory and speed things up, let them know I called.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Me: Yes, please be sure it is not built on a Monday when everyone is hungover.
‘Click, straight to the window to rate your experience. I was a little pissed, doesn’t everyone have my sense of humor? Mathew did not get a very good review. I added that I was disconnected and was unable to save my chat. I wonder if I’ll get moved to the back of the list over this…..
Mathew is probably a computer.

Knob for hemi, column shift for cummins.

dash knob is the gasser - shift lever is the diesels at least for now - hope it stays that way.

What a complete kick in the nuts watching all of these megas get built. RAM really hosed us early orders on this. I should have ordered a second truck when I was joking about it. They can’t blame the damn mirrors or the aisin or the 3500 or any other excuse anymore when they keep cranking limited longhorns daily.

See my post below that I made in another thread. It's just a stab in the dark but I can see trucks getting held up for that reason

No sir. These are my exact options:

Night Edition
Snow Chief
Dual alternators
Bed step
Rambox, not sure if that is considered an option being that it is "standard" on the Limited

I have seen trucks with all of the options built already and obviously trucks with even more options. I truly feel it is something like what someone posted in the 22 thread, when my truck was to be built on Aug 14th they did not have all of the parts needed at that moment in time so the truck gets sidelined until they have sourced all of the necessary parts. Then at that time when they have everything, the parts get allocated to my build and my truck goes to the back of the line of what is currently scheduled to be built. As far as I am aware I will still be receiving all of the features and options I ordered and what was to come standard on the truck as well, especially being a June order before they started chopping options to get them built.

Just curious - I saw a post a while back saying a truck is completed in less than a day - My question is how many trucks can they produce in a 24 hour day, assuming they are running 3 shifts and there are no parts supply issues?
Second question - how many 2021s are still in work waiting for parts?
Anyone know the answers?
Best, Ed

700ish is a number I remember being mentioned. But only if they weren’t placed in May or early June.

June order here, I’m nowhere near frustrated. Too many other non-first world things in life for me to care that much. I want the RAM, so I’m waiting for it.

Agree their process sucks, but we all knew that going in to it.
I waited a really long time after my 2021 order. It was long enough for me to just say eff it and order a 22 three months later. The 22 got here one month after the 21. After ordering the 22, I got busy with work and pretty much forgot about the truck 95% of the time. Made it much easier.

Oh yeah, Mark Dodge was able to add an affiliate discount to their normal sales price. Planning on also trying out the discount that is offered when switching from another manufacturer to Ram

Just went on ram's website and this popped up for a $1500 incentive.

Buuut the fooled me it says 2021 MY :(

Be careful what you wish for….pressuring these factories apparently leads to total crap builds. At least in my case.

I would much rather still be waiting on a build than taking delivery yesterday, driving for 2 hours only to have a catastrophic failure of the entire Uconnect screen/system with no known solution from the dealer, FCA or Uconnect. The Uconnect 5 Nav 12” option is all new for 2022 so they apparently don’t yet have an issues/solutions database. Lucky me. Their only advice is to NOT drive truck because they can’t confirm that systems like crash avoidance, lane departure, adaptive cruise, high beams, etc will work as all those settings are fed through the failed Uconnect System.

I was just going to drive it with no radio or climate control but no go. It has to stay parked with less than 2 hours of use. I told the dealer I was having it towed back and to not sell my trade as I wanted to return the truck and unwind the whole purchase. He said that is not possible. So…I do indeed have a brand new 2022 build that was ordered in August and received yesterday.…. with big a## payments, but it cannot be driven until further notice with no known remedy and no timeline and likely no chips/parts even if the problem is ever is diagnosed!

Believe me, I would rather have an order waiting on parts in Mexico. At least then I would still have a slim chance at a decent build, no payments and still have the truck I traded away yesterday instead of Uber bills to get me to work.

By the way, I’ve already decided that if they take this dead truck back, my next order is going to be for a Tradesman with radio delete...and hand crank windows!!
