So I ended up doing something I kept putting off. I got a hard shell rooftop tent. These are much easier to setup and tear down compared to the soft shell RTTs. That means I had to secure all my gear that I had on my rack onto my bedslide. I've yet to sleep in it, but the use I've gotten out of is so far has me really liking it. Just in time for our snow here in the Arizona mountains.

The roof of the truck will make a good nightstand out the window of the tent.

It came with a ladder, but I think getting into it over the rear wheel or tailgate is easier and more secure, but we will see.

I picked this one because it has T-slot rails on all 4 sides as well as cargo crossbars on top (I'm waiting for them to arrive). It will support 250lbs on top of it.

I like the low profile of you rack set up with the rtt.

How you running your spare?

Before I had the tent I ran it on top of the rack. I now run it in my bed on my bedslide.

Added some LED lights under the tent. Also, stuck my solar power banks on the roof of the tent using velcro. I now drive with them up there all the time so I don't have to worry about charging them. When camping I take them off at night to charge the phones and power lights.

Did a nice trail run with our monthly group. I stayed back and camped a night.

1 week old. Only 300 miles. Love it thus far. Let's see your ride and what you've done to it.

Future mods. Magnaflow direct fit once it's in stock.
Air intake once one becomes available. AFE said it's a future project. Got an email in to S&B . We shall see who gets my money first.
