2020 ordering?

Question for all. My wife and I ordered on Nov 16th a 2020 RAM 2500 MegaCab. We have not yet received an order number or VIN. Dealer says they don't have either yet. I see many of you who ordered after me have them. What I have not seen is if anybody has an order number or VIN on a 2020 MegaCab. Wondering if that is what the hold up is. Thoughts???

Your dealer is probably being lazy and don’t want to look it up or give it to you or didn’t place the order yet

You should absolutely have at least your VIN. somethings going on. Either your dealer never placed the order. Or are just lazy.

well at least the eta ship seems ok but it’s defiantly behind.i was in d1 for like 2 weeks the. Bam it got build in like a day and went thru inspection. And ready to ship in a few days

I can only guess it's waiting on the fuel tank. When you place your order was it available? Only asking because I couldn't order it and was told i'd have to wait.

I have noticed a few show up on my local dealers lot. I can’t tell that they are any different than a 2019. no larger tank or safety group Update

Your dealer would have had a VON (your order number) within minutes of submitting your order (was given mine before I left the dealership when order was placed). Your VIN is typically assigned within 2-14 days of the order.

Did you get a order sheet "Priced Order Confirmation" when you ordered the truck? If so the VON is at the top AND if there is no VON, check the lower left hand side for the "Order Type" iot should read 1-Sold Order and have your name and contact information. If none of that is there than the truck was not ordered for you. Now that's not to say the truck wasn't ordered, it just wasn't submitted under your name.
 
I’m not 100% but I’m pretty sure my status has changed over the weekend. So I’d assume so.

Thanks, I am going to follow up on that. While they had us sign the top and $1k down the sheet does not have our name on it.
 
Finally good news. I passed D1 Now status E. Said should be ready for shipping in few days. We shall see.

That’s usually within a week! I’ve ordered 3 this year and all came within a week.

I'm trying to place an order for a 2020 2500, but the air ride option is not yet available, so things are on hold until that option comes back on line. Hopefully not too much longer!
