2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

VIN 3C6UR5FJ5NG159630, Laramie 2500, Crew Cab, Hemi, 4WD, SWR, Level A, Safety Group B, BSM, no sunroof, zone 70-Phoenix AZ

Ordered by Ron Sayer's Chrysler Jeep Dodge Idaho Falls, ID sometime between 8/24 and 8/27, used Costco Auto as dealers in Salt Lake City not available on 2500's, $1071 under invoice ($58,700), $2000 deposit.

D1 status 10/6 from dealer and confirmed by ramchat :)
It just means you have entered the 2nd phase of your wait time. As Austin Powers would say, throw me a bone baby!

On a positive note, you have one great looking truck. I have never been a fan of silver but combined with the night edition it looks awesome! There are two things that worry me about these trucks, the infotainment system failing and the emissions system failing. I hope the dealer gets you taken care of ASAP.
Thanks Riddick! I do love pretty much everything about the truck. The gasser with the 4.10's is a freaking beast (I know, I know, nothing like a Cummins but I only tow a couple times a month and this is my daily driver).

I got a call from the General Manager at the dealer saying this has been escalated to the 'regional Uconnect manager'. I didn't realize Uconnect had it's own region...must be because of all the past problems!

That big screen is much more than just a luxury item in these trucks. You really can't do much of anything without it, which makes it critical single point of failure.

Keeping my fingers crossed I can keep the truck and get a quick fix.

@mkresser

Congrats on the new truck, and hope your issues with the screen are resolved soon!

You are correct about the camera connections. The single plug on the left is suppose to go to the digital rearview, and the double plug on the right (12\7 pin) is for the uconnect.

My question is did a camera come with the truck for the digital rearview, or is it something else that needs to be purchased?

Webracin - there were no cameras included with the truck, but there is a video on YouTube describing the Mopar Trailer Camera that you can purchase separately. Now that camera is clearly the one for the Uconnect screen...I am not sure what camera you would use for the digital rear view as it has a very different connector.

6/14 order to 11/7 shipping, not too bad, get it around 12/1, I really feel for the early order people.
I agree...I ordered July 1st and still no movement. There are many others that ordered much earlier than I and they are stagnate. What really gets me....is when I see a dealer that order about 6 weeks after my order date (comparing it to sequence numbers on the crowd source spread sheet) and their trucks are built and in transit. I can tell that they are for his lot and NOT sold orders as the sequence numbers are in exact sequence many order exactly the same options) There's a dealer like this....he has 20 trucks coming in all or most ordered after mine and 4 of them have the exact SAME options that I ordered....and he is getting ALL of his trucks and many, many people with SOLD orders ordered prior to those are just sitting and not being built. I was always told that a SOLD order has priority.

To perform a soft reset of your Uconnect system-

1) Put your vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN)
For keyless start (push-button) vehicles: push the start button twice without having your foot on the gas or brake pedal

2) Hold down the Phone and voice recognition buttons (or tuner and volume knob), at the same time, for thirty seconds.

3) Let go of the buttons

4) Turn the vehicle off

5) Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds (or until dash illumination goes black)

6) Close door

7) Restart vehicle

8) Let the media center load up and see if the concern is still present
THANK YOU! Will try as soon as I get home and send you a virtual 6-pack if this works!!

I didn't think so. If you need a 4 Pin....you can buy an adapter that goes from the round 7 Pin to the flat 4 Pin. They are usually around $10 or so.
My 2022 Laramie level B with Night package and tow tech package does NOT have a 4 pin but yea, super cheap adaptors out there!

Not too bad? That's horrible. 6 months fir a vehicle order is outta control lol
I agree early orders should have been AT THE FRONT OF THE QUE and dealer orders for inventory should not take priority over sold orders, particularly sold orders placed before the inventory orders.

But ordering a 2022 in April / May 2021 and expecting it to be delivered before September 2021 when they only started production of the 2022's in August 2021 is somewhat unrealistic, even in the good old days before semiconductors were used on vehicles.

Plants shut down and retool for model year changes and as we know, there are 2021's that are just now being completed as parts become available and many 2021's have not gotten to dealers yet.
I think a more realistic time to start counting is when production began in August - and now its October, so we are now approaching 2 months into production.

Having said that, I must agree all the orders placed before August should be getting to dealers by now and having some orders placed in May without scheduled production dates is unacceptable, especially if 2022 trucks similarly equipped with higher VINs are hitting dealers as inventory.

Does the 2500 come with trailer mirrors like in your picture? Do they telescope or stuck all the way out like that?
They are a option you add when you want the trailer brake. The fold out and in and do not telescope. They are NOT standard just because its a 2500

EXACTLY! No customer sold priority!

I live close to you. If it works I’ll take a 6 of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
The search button here is your friend…
I couldn't wait, so I went home and tried this sequence. Actually tried it twice, unfortunately, screen still blank o_O

Someone asked if I checked the fuses and relays...I looked under the hood and no fuse or relay is labeled as "screen" or "Uconnect" or "radio". Any idea where those may be?? Maybe by the pedals?

I was referring to the truck that steelman2500 posted earlier in the thread. His truck has the plug on the left side of the bumper. From what I can tell your truck does not have it. I’m just confused because this is the second time that an ordered truck has shown up with the plug on the bumper but doesn’t have the option listed on the sticker.

Mine has the plastic cap covering where the plug "would be". Same as the exterior outlet in bed. Mine doesnt have but has a plastic cover where is would be as well
