Fog light questions.

'19 Bighorn with fog lights. They work for the turning portion of operation. However, I have no way to turn them on permanently while the headlights are on. The center of the headlight switch has the button for the cargo light, but none for the fogs. Is this on purpose? Seems kinda strange to have them, but just use them as cornering lights.
Factory oversight? Built on a Monday or Friday? ‍

That middle button is your fog light.

It is not Your cargo light

Your switch is the same as the diagram that was posted.

Incorrect. It turns the cargo light on and off, and the light depiction is of the cargo light, not fog lights. This switch, which is probably the one mine should have, has both versions on it.

That is a very interesting setup for sure. I didn't look at the blown up pics and assumed it was showing the same, as I have never seen, or understand, the reason to have the cargo light on the headlight knob.

I haven't looked at an owner's manual for the 2019 HD. Guess I need to, and get some knowledge.

No need to apologize. I hope I didn't come across crass, it wasn't intended that way. I talked to a friend who is a Chrysler tech and he said they probably put in the wrong switch. The only problem with having this new a truck is that it's possible others haven't had the same issue yet. Or found the same place on the interwebs to complain about it! Lol.

I assumed something based on what I thought it would be. I learned that this seems very odd to me (the way the switch works).

I really wish the quality control guy would venture onto our sites, so we can help him know some of the simple mistakes being made.

Hope they can get you the right switch and get your truck working the way it was designed.

WTH! There is nothing in the 2019 Manuals (User Guide, OM) that looks like that. Not sure about the "wrong switch" theory either. This could be a recent configuration change that is not yet reflected in the associated owner/use docs. When was your truck built? Your original post appears to indicate that the the fogs were in sync with the turn signals. If so, that's just plain weird.

I went to see my buddy at the dealership and he was able to fire the lights with the diagnostic stuff and ordered the right switch for the truck. The crazy part is that there were 8(yes eight) different part numbers that "could" match my VIN.

Yea, assembler not paying attention to the build sheet. That said, don't they scan the barcode on pretty much every part they install on the line and have checks and balance for the build?
