2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

It makes my brain hurt to think of RAMCHAT telling everyone their truck has "all the parks delivered and just waiting to start production" and then the story says they are shutting down due to a chip shortage. Someone is lying for sure.....
It's Ramchat... they area barrel of lies

LMAO. Mine wasnt even that far. Mine was just in scheduling with a build date of 10/11, ship date of 10/12
Those dates likely won't change. This is likely a scheduled shutdown. They knew when they're run out of parts and will shutdown until the new shipment comes in. Many of us have a 10/11 build that all went D1 the same day... Probably the same day they got word on when that particular constrained part would arrive. I don't see many (if any) build dates between now and Oct 11. That could be an indicator of how long they'll be down

How many 21 Fords and GM's are parked, what to do when the 22 trucks are out?
I haven't heard of RAM storing vehicles in the same way I've seen Ford and GM; they have a HUGE problem on their hands tough, because I can't see how prices for their vehicles will not plummet when they do have chips. As I understand it, once a VIN is assigned/stamped on a vehicle, you can't "un-VIN" it or change it to a new model year. Plus, I'm not sure how keen I'd be on buying a vehicle that sat outside for months.

(GM will never have anything to worry about from me though. :p)

I have (or maybe HAD) an estimated ship date of 10/8.

That's almost exactly what I was told this morning.
"Its in the scheduling stage with all the parts gathered and its waiting to move into the build process. At this time we do not have an estimate for when the build will start so I'd recommend contacting back in a few weeks for a new update."
That tells me they plan on being shut down for a few weeks.
My dealer still tells me I'm in "D" status.

I only have my VIN and haven't heard anything at all.. I was hoping that the 3500 line would be moving.. how long between getting your vin and the next step did you have to wait?

Once I had my VIN which was a few days after ordering it was in "D" status. Hasn't moved since. I contact ram chat once a week. Sometimes I get a different answer. This is the first time they've told me they actually have all the parts for my truck. Every other time I've asked its been that they are still acquiring the parts necessary for the truck to be built. But with the plant shutting down who knows when any of our trucks will see daylight. From what the guy at ramchat told me today it might be a few weeks. Speculating from his wording

I was just thinking the same thing. They have a group of trucks they say they have all the parts for, then shut down?? Makes no sense. So you DON'T have all the parts for the next group of builds. Just saying...

2022 Laramie trucks are 9 months out…….Here’s why I think so.

I just put a deposit on a 21 Ram 2500 (in transit) with Safety Group B, Tow Tech B, Night Edition, Laramie Level B, Power Sun Roof, Uconnect 12” and according to the POC they sent me it was ordered February 2021, shipping ETA was 7/30, and it’s on a train with a yard ETA of 10/30.

When, if, my 22 gets here next summer I’ll trade this one in.

So if I order a hellcat I am screwed too eh?
Food for thought.
Why can I order a Tesla and get it in 4-6 weeks and they have 100x more chips. I say we start looking at them.

lol gotta one up you. June 17 order date, scheduled to be one of the first built, then bumped back to D with no build date in sight.... along with most of the other may/june orders
Welcome to the club. My power wagon had a build date of 8/10 and that day came and went a long time ago. I have a new build date of 10/4 now

I’ve heard so much good stuff about Ashley, but I do have a friend that tried to order through her and she dropped the ball completely, he sent her everything he wanted in a truck, she replied she’d get back to him in 30 minutes and she didn’t. He’s been screwed over 2 times now by dealers that he’s about to say heck with getting a new Ram.

not ashely, I mean Andrea. I know she’s a busy person, when I talked to her she didn’t have time for me so I just went with a local dealer.
Surprised. I sent her email on July 29th @10:45 am. Had response at 11:25 am. Asked me to fill out options forms and send back. She sent me a configuration preview with a quote at 8:47 pm that evening. She always answered my questions fairly quickly. Asked her like 10 questions and she responded in depth to each. I was amazed. 1st dealer I have contacted that did not drop ball and that's why I ordered my 2022 from her.

I ordered from Andrea (Chapman).
5K deposit. More than most I think but it just means I have less to pay later. :)

I ordered from Jim Shorkey North Huntington, PA. Only 1k deposit.

I received a call from my dealer yesterday who advised that my truck was in. Went this morning and picked it up. Order 7/14, ship date of 8/28. Low on tech Tradesman. Good luck to everyone. Somethings has got to give and these higher tech units need to come in.

FYI. Tesla deliveries are now into Feb of next year.

Here are the first pics/video I've been able to find anywhere on the internet of a 2022 Longhorn. At last, they do exist!

Heard from Mark Dodge that my order is also in D1 now with 10/15 est. 'ship' date. Noticed the base price went up +$730 and destination increased from $1695 to $1795 on the latest POC. Hopefully what others have said holds true and the price is fully locked in. MD has been great so far.
