2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Been in "D" only 25 days but many have been longer. If it is 2-4 weeks after build for shipping to dealer then I would say you are looking DEC at the rate we see things moving. I thought I had planned far enough out for a mid NOV delivery but it looks like the joke is on me. I understand they may have issues with supply chain but how hard would it be to give customer updates on the main RAM page or at least show they still maintain the webpage with current model year information? It my opinion that's the hard pill to swallow is the lack of communication from the factory - dealer - customer. My dealer is great but they can only deal with the information the factory provides them. I see the news on the Sterling Heights factory for LD production but not a peep about the HD production. I can only be glad I dont have to have the truck to make a living.
I agree. Lack of communication is indeed the worst part. I am more apt to be "understanding" if I get some sort of communication from my purchase... even if that communication is bad news. The lack up updates of any kind leaves us all here in a daze and our minds start wandering.... and you all know how bad that can be!!!! :D

Does anyone know what the difference is between the 1500 and HD rambox latches? 1500 is first, 2500 second.

And I just notice a difference between the styling of the RamBoxes themselves, at least on the 2021MY.1632243433757.png1632243480593.png

You are comparing a 5'7" bed to a 6'4" bed. Designs are different for that specific reason. I have had both, love them and hate the on the 5'7", straight love them on the 6'4". Really wish they would have figured out a way for an 8' RAMBOX on the dually with a Megacab! Instant secured gun racks!

I agree with you on the grill. I’ll have to either live with the grill on my Laramie when I get it, or look into swapping it with a bighorn.

I'm liking the BH grille the best, then Limited, then Laramie. I think they knocked it out of the park with the BH

So here’s a 2022 Laramie on a dealers lot in Texas. Not sure I like the grill compared to some of the other 2022s I’ve seen.
Yeah it looks like the Laramie grille didn’t change for 2022 then, the Big Horn’s did. Probs gonna order a 2022 3500 HD Laramie Night Edition at the end of the week to replace our 2020 2500 HD Big Horn Night Edition. Going up the axle ratio as well, but sticking with Gas. Had to call 23 dealers in my area just to find 2 that did price protection on my trade and the order itself.

I might go order another tomorrow and see which one gets here first. This waiting for parts thing sucks, here at work and on my order.
I literally just emailed Sandi. I'm probably going to do the same thing. Kind of had a blow up with my salesman. We never worked out pricing before I ordered it under the assumption we would be doing that upon delivery. Turns out he was under the impression I had agreed to MSRP. Not gonna happen

will the HD 22's have the old box?
Yes, the 2019-2022 HD’s are still technically a 4th Gen truck, we call them 4.5 cuz of the new interior design and front end and taillights. But the cab and bed and the actual interior frame is old. The 2019-2022 1500 is a true 5th Gen, a new truck (minus the Classics which are still 4th gens sold new).

At least at EP pricing I don't have to worry about that much.

You can’t order a Laramie night edition anymore

Whaaaaaaaaa, says who? That a package being discontinued for good or just a “till we get more parts” type of time-based shortage where dealers can’t order it at this time type of thing? Where’d you hear that? I know of a ‘22 Laramie Night Edition coming up to a dealer that we were gonna purchase at first.

Believe temporary, due to the power mirrors. Chip shortage.
