So I’m looking to order a ‘22 HD this or next week. This will be our 4th Ram in 2 years. I previously had a ‘19 1500 Laramie 3.6 which I sold, and a ‘21 1500 Limited 3.0 EcoDiesel which I sold as well. I would always be on the 5th Gen forums chattin with you guys. But for our horse farm, we currently have a ‘20 2500 Big Horn Night Edition. We want to upgrade to take advantage of the good market for used products (found 2 dealers that do price protection for our trade and the order) and also need something that can tow more, so we’re going up to a ‘22 3500 Laramie Night Edition (If the Night is even available to order at this point), with the 4.10 and the 6.4, we currently have a 3.73 6.4 (It’s for my mom, and she barely ever does Highway and drives about 7k-8k miles a year.) So my question is this…

I see a lot of different special and limited editions all over and don’t want to order and then one comes out, so any word on any coming to the ‘22 HD lineup?

I’ve seen 10th Anniversary Longhorns and Limiteds, Laramie Southwest Editions, Big Horn North Editions, Backcountry’s for the Big Horn / Lone Star, GT’s for the Rebel and Laramie, Mopar Special Edition on the Big Horn, Longhorn Southfork, Laramie Rodeo and Quarter Horse Editions for the HD Laramie’s in Brazil. We getting anything cool besides the usual Sport and Night Edition packages?

I'd be surprised if any special editions were released any time soon while they're struggling to keep the assembly lines moving due to the chip shortage.

All bets are off this year but I would not be surprised to see the 2022 HD Longhorns badged as 10th Anniversary Editions, as they did for the 1500s last year. (The 1500 Longhorn debuted in 2011, the HD Longhorn in 2012.)

Historically, Ram has made special edition announcements at the Texas State Fair Auto Show which this year starts September 24th. If there's anything new, I suspect we'll know by the weekend. :)

You gotta be kidding me…

Hahaha, I just got through reading this about 30 mins ago. The Red Limited doesn’t seem very interesting.

It’s not really it’s just the same (red) that Apple partners with. Used to support HIV/AIDS around the world but has since moved to Covid, which is kinda lame; what isn’t focusing on Covid? Anyways, it looks cool. But that is exactly my point, all these 1500 special editions and not a single one for the US model HD’s. Maybe the Texas Auto Show this week, hmmm…

'22 MY brings a new color for the Light and Heavy Duty's, "Harvest Sunrise", wanna know what that looks like and when it's available to order if not already.

Looks like we won't be getting any HD announcements this week from the Texas State Fair. Bummer.

"September 23, 2021 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Ram today unveiled three models at the State Fair of Texas: the exclusive new 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition, 2022 Ram 1500 Longhorn SouthFork and the 2022 Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition. Each model offers truck buyers an even wider selection of exterior and interior appointments and content."

Yeah I just read that.

Repost from "2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!":

Well, Mom and I put down a small deposit on a truck out of state in Kentucky after going to a dealer yesterday and realizing you can't order half of the stuff we wanted on a '22 Laramie. Called 23 dealers last week in my area and all the same story, MSRP or markup too, and very few offered price protection on our trade. So went with a truck in transit, and it's currently in Nashville with an estimated exact delivery time of around 7 PM this Tuesday. So yeah, went up a trim, and with the 4.10 vs our current 3.73, and stuck with the 2500 HD. It's even a Night Edition with the Safety Group and Tow Technology Group, which I assume will be super rare for a Laramie for this model year. Also having them add a Line-X Spray-In Bedliner, the updated Deployable Bed Step, and some of the factory Ram Rubber Floor Mats. They are even giving us $1,095 dealer discount which seems rare nowadays and $50k on our trade which is really awesome. Really looking forward to it!
