2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Me as well, BH Mega, Level B and Tech. Ordered 7/20
In my defense, I don't have the tech package, as it's not available for regular cabs. I would have ordered it if I could have, so in a way I'm glad it's not available.

Has anyone actually seen a Price Protection code on a confirmed POC? Pulled this from 5th Gen forum topic on Price Protection for Orders:

Price Protection
Price Protection is available on sold orders to protect the customer from price increases which occur between the vehicle order date and the KZ (invoice) date. A claim for Price Protection must meet the following criteria:
The sale must be documented by a signed and dated buyer’s order which details the agreed upon selling price at the time of order and secured by a customer’s deposit with receipts at time of order. Dealer must print and retain the Order Confirmation
Ordered new for immediate production, or selected from dealer stock orders not yet invoiced, and delivered to the original customer

Must be delivered within 14 days of the date the vehicle is received at the dealership (KZX date)
Must be delivered to the customer whose name is on the factory order and subsequent factory invoice at the documented agreed upon price at time of order
You must claim Price Protection by inserting the price protection program number on the Exception Claim Entry Screen when reporting the sale. Program numbers are in the Pricing Announcements and stored in DealerCONNECT eFiles under Sales.
Price Protection claims are made via "DealerCONNECT > Sales > Incentives Claims Processing > Incentive Claim Entry > Exception Claim Entry"

I took this blurb and sent it to my dealer to confirm if my order was Price Protected and he said yes.
I confirmed with Sandi at Mark Dodge this morning that I am price protected. I do not have any special sales codes on my POC for this.

Perhaps Mark Dodge has a blanket, behind the scenes agreement being a large volume dealer that price protects their orders without needs for special sales codes. Regardless, they will stand behind their agreements with customers.

I went to the dealership today to order a 2022 ram 2500 laramie mega cab and we could not find the dealership option for the mirror mounted cameras or the cameras that go in the grill and tailgate for the surround view. is this feature offered on the laramie still? i know it was offered on 2019-2021 laramies. i think it was part of the trailer reverse guidance or towing technology group packages from previous years. on mopars website in the owners manual for 22 it shows that the feature is offered and its also listed on mopars youtube channel as a feature for 2022. anyone have a idea what the sales code might be for it?
It was offered for very early 22, but it was temporarily stopped in August because of chip shortages. If it's still available at all, it'll only be on the limited trim level.

Can anyone possibly explain this...

I ordered 2022 Tradesman 2500 with my specific options on June 7th. By early August the dealer said it shipped and would take about 3 weeks to be delivered. Being very patient I waited the three weeks then called again. I was told that it had arrived in Lordstown Oh and was waiting delivery to the dealer. It has now been sitting in Lordstown for 3 weeks. The dealer cant give me an answer. I talked to RAM Chat and they just gave me the Company line of BS. Then I see an article on here claiming the RAM is shipping inventory to the dealers. I cant even get one I ordered. Any insight?

2 years ago my dad ordered a 2019 ram 1500 that was assembled in Sterling heights, Michigan. It was then shipped to a lot somewhere around 10 miles away from the plant... where it sat for 4 weeks before it was shipped back to Sterling Heights to the dealer where my dad ordered the truck from.

My point is, good luck.

The person who said there is a sales code for it showed me his POC on his 2021 and it was there. I can only assume that ram didnt put the option on it for 2022's because they are unsure of materials and shipping price increases. Another thing could be that the person who showed me it was in Canada, and it could be a thing to lock in a currency exchange rate of some sort.

I have a question when I posted my build sheet someone asked me if it was a fleet vehicle.. why or how did they know and is there a difference? Posting my sheet below for some insite..

Not sure if this is still accurate as the document is from 2008 but this PDF shows several codes for Price Protection so there could be different levels/tiers/reasons. Also, different ones listed for Canada.

I bet if ODS did more sleuthing of the build sheets he could find instances of Price Protection. I've noticed it on build sheets before but I think those may have been pilot builds. Don't want the factory paying more than they have to! lol

I am not sure if it is due to the chip shortage or a shortage getting power folding mirrors, but this is why they are only available on the limited ATM.

My understanding is that a true fleet order would not show the code 4EA "sold order". I use Enterprise Fleet for all of my company trucks/cars and that is what they have told me. They have also confessed to me that "sold orders" take priority over fleet. I am not sure why this is, but that is what I was told. I ordered a 2500 MC Limited in February and it was cancelled by the factory in June. I reordered on June 29 for a 2022 same truck and if I log into my fleet account with Enterprise the order status simply states that "order received at factory". Same thing my February order said until it was cancelled by the factory.

3,120 of the 21,660 equipment listings I have found mention "Price Protection".

Where are you and which dealer? I’m in OH and similar situation, 6/14 order date, same story.

Anyone have the train transit map again?
The trucks leave the plant on Union Pacific RR (first link) and Then transfer to CSX (the second link) if going to the east coast

I will have to check that,I don't think it's CSX for the east coast.
