2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Whaaaaaaaaa, says who? That a package being discontinued for good or just a “till we get more parts” type of time-based shortage where dealers can’t order it at this time type of thing? Where’d you hear that? I know of a ‘22 Laramie Night Edition coming up to a dealer that we were gonna purchase at first.

Night Editions are reserved for Limited models only unless you have one on order already.

I'm assuming that they have not updated their website because of all the cutting of packages and trimming of options, all they would have is people specing out trucks that they couldn't order

The bad thing is, I don’t think you can get a Laramie night edition anymore, I think they came out around August 20th that you no longer can order the night edition on anything other than the limited. I got my order in for my Laramie on the 18th and as far as I know I’m getting the night edition.

Yeah it looks like the Laramie grille didn’t change for 2022 then, the Big Horn’s did. Probs gonna order a 2022 3500 HD Laramie Night Edition at the end of the week to replace our 2020 2500 HD Big Horn Night Edition. Going up the axle ratio as well, but sticking with Gas. Had to call 23 dealers in my area just to find 2 that did price protection on my trade and the order itself.

If I recall correctly, the FCA price protection has to be in the order as a build code. From your sheet it does not appear to be included. Also, on the bottom of your POC it should read "This is not an invoice..." blah blah blah about how prices are subject to change.
Has anyone actually seen a Price Protection code on a confirmed POC? Pulled this from 5th Gen forum topic on Price Protection for Orders:

Price Protection
Price Protection is available on sold orders to protect the customer from price increases which occur between the vehicle order date and the KZ (invoice) date. A claim for Price Protection must meet the following criteria:
The sale must be documented by a signed and dated buyer’s order which details the agreed upon selling price at the time of order and secured by a customer’s deposit with receipts at time of order. Dealer must print and retain the Order Confirmation
Ordered new for immediate production, or selected from dealer stock orders not yet invoiced, and delivered to the original customer

Must be delivered within 14 days of the date the vehicle is received at the dealership (KZX date)
Must be delivered to the customer whose name is on the factory order and subsequent factory invoice at the documented agreed upon price at time of order
You must claim Price Protection by inserting the price protection program number on the Exception Claim Entry Screen when reporting the sale. Program numbers are in the Pricing Announcements and stored in DealerCONNECT eFiles under Sales.
Price Protection claims are made via "DealerCONNECT > Sales > Incentives Claims Processing > Incentive Claim Entry > Exception Claim Entry"

I took this blurb and sent it to my dealer to confirm if my order was Price Protected and he said yes.

Yep, dealer is checking it out now and confirming. They have one out of state coming up that i showed interest in, it’s a Laramie night. Must have been one of the first one’s Made for that trim.

I might send this to mine as well

Other part that sucks about that is not all colors are available in limited like they were in Laramie, I would have prob ordered a limited, but i want flame red night edition. and i can only get that in a laramie. Altho i guess that is going to make my truck a super rare one.

So does this mean that the window sticker might not reflect the price on the order?

Been in "D" only 25 days but many have been longer. If it is 2-4 weeks after build for shipping to dealer then I would say you are looking DEC at the rate we see things moving. I thought I had planned far enough out for a mid NOV delivery but it looks like the joke is on me. I understand they may have issues with supply chain but how hard would it be to give customer updates on the main RAM page or at least show they still maintain the webpage with current model year information? It my opinion that's the hard pill to swallow is the lack of communication from the factory - dealer - customer. My dealer is great but they can only deal with the information the factory provides them. I see the news on the Sterling Heights factory for LD production but not a peep about the HD production. I can only be glad I dont have to have the truck to make a living.
You would think that RAM would update their web site wtf.

I went to the dealership today to order a 2022 ram 2500 laramie mega cab and we could not find the dealership option for the mirror mounted cameras or the cameras that go in the grill and tailgate for the surround view. is this feature offered on the laramie still? i know it was offered on 2019-2021 laramies. i think it was part of the trailer reverse guidance or towing technology group packages from previous years. on mopars website in the owners manual for 22 it shows that the feature is offered and its also listed on mopars youtube channel as a feature for 2022. anyone have a idea what the sales code might be for it?
