I was told today my Megacab 2500 Laramie is in transit to the dealership with an ETA of 10-1 to 10-12.
Will do. It's a shame, but I ain't gonna sweat it. At this point I've went two decades without buying a vehicle in my home state. Why break the streak now? Many of us have heard the same from our local dealers. It's just a ploy to get you to buy from them and pay the full boat price. Some of them try to figure out how Mark Dodge's pricing works and it boggles their minds. I'm not even sure how they do it. Maybe it's some sort of incentive they get from FCA due to being a high volume dealer. Either way, thank them for their time and move on.
Well, today I've had two dealers tell me that the Mark Dodge price I was quoted is too good to be true. Neither of them were willing to lower their price from MSRP. Not even a dollar. I'm 99% sure I'll be placing my order with Sandi.
Can anyone with prior experience confirm that their price is legit and isn't too good to be true?
Yeah, when I talked to Sandi (back in June before she had help), she was fielding Jeep orders too. So it's more than just HD trucks for them.It is tough for smaller local dealerships to match a bulk dealer’s prices. They have much less inventory to move so in their eyes anyone doing those deals would go out of business. But last I heard Mark Dodge was averaging 300 internet sales a month (and that’s just trucks).
Same here. Bought in my home state many times, but always way out of town. There're plenty of seats available in the waiting room...Haha!Will do. It's a shame, but I ain't gonna sweat it. At this point I've went two decades without buying a vehicle in my home state. Why break the streak now?
All that's left now is getting it ordered and joining the long list of people waiting for their truck.
Watch out for the vending machine, it eats dollar bills.Same here. Bought in my home state many times, but always way out of town. There're plenty of seats available in the waiting room...Haha!
I got 11% off of MSRP through bud clary on my '22 order. He was very good to work withYes. Search the 2021 forum for Aaron or Mark Dodge. There have been many. There was actually a cheaper price prior to the 2022…about 14% off from Bud Clary in WA.
You should drive your new truck over there when it comes in and show him the bill of sale lolOne of them got kind of crappy with me. I even offered to give him $2000 more than the Mark Dodge price. He just kept saying "that would be a great deal if it were true" and ended it with saying best of luck. It is what it is I suppose. I'd love to support a local business, not enough to pay nearly $8000 more though.
I'll be subtle about it when, if, I bring mine into service at my local dealer. I'll just by chance leave the Purchase Order out on the seat or tape it to the window. Haha! You should drive your new truck over there when it comes in and show him the bill of sale lol
Same here bought it local but still ended up with 12% off MSRP, I'll take a 10 min ride over shipping or flyingMy truck went into D1; this status change brings me much happiness.
I live in a small town of less than 16,000 however I buy from my local dealer knowing that I could buy cheaper elsewhere. I like to support supportive local dealers. I also have asked about these deals and my dealer explains why they can't match or beat it....Overhead, volume, employee pay/benefits, etc. I appreciate honesty

Count me as 1 more changed to D1 today, with an estimated ship date of 10/05.
Ordered 07/20 Limited megacab night edition, level 1, rambox, snow chief, no sunroof
I only got 5k off, we only have Ford, Ram & Chevy. I had to drive 10 minutes but it's better than emailing or doing it over the phone for me at least.I’m all about supporting local businesses! But, $6k - $8k is a lot of money! Especially when you don’t have to burn. I’ll eat out as much as possible in our non-chain restaurants, buy from my local small grocer, etc. But, at some point you have to draw a line.

I probably would have bought locally if they'd give me 5k off. They wouldn't move at all from msrp. Not even a dollar off.I only got 5k off, we only have Ford, Ram & Chevy. I had to drive 10 minutes but it's better than emailing or doing it over the phone for me at least.
Same. Hope this isn’t like when production first started and all the early ship dates got shafted.I hope what I have been seeing today is true and they're moving.
