2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Well went to the dealer tonight to “discuss” some issues that I have been having with the dealer. Sales manager threatened to cancel my order, and 99% sure my salesman blocked my phone number lol. Told them they better not cancel the order on me. But for some reason I have a feeling they’re gonna cancel it behind my back still, even though I put a deposit on it lol
It was mentioned earlier in this thread…that supposedly if the dealership has to cancel an order (customer requested, they are shady, etc…) supposedly RAM reaches out to the buyer with questions about it. Then RAM decides if the dealer can sell that truck to someone else.
If that is true, it makes no sense for a dealer to cancel an order unless they are actually losing money on it…in which case that’s their bad and they should still honor it.

They will handle TTL for you
FYI - If anyone is paying in cash at Mark Dodge, they don’t have to collect TTL. You can handle that when you get back to your home state. Sandi said it’s actually easier for them that way. You get the LA temp tag and on your way.
If financing, then banks require the dealer collect all the TTL to make sure it’s taken care of and the bank is on the title.

I’ve heard so much good stuff about Ashley, but I do have a friend that tried to order through her and she dropped the ball completely, he sent her everything he wanted in a truck, she replied she’d get back to him in 30 minutes and she didn’t. He’s been screwed over 2 times now by dealers that he’s about to say heck with getting a new Ram.

not ashely, I mean Andrea. I know she’s a busy person, when I talked to her she didn’t have time for me so I just went with a local dealer.

Got my sunroof replaced and Stellantis had a tsb for the drains which they replaced . So far

So you’re saying, with the sunroof I ordered, I should have a bucket handy for when it rains or I run the car through the wash?
No. No buckets are needed?
But, how much water, routinely leaking into your truck is acceptable? Videos and other's experience are here:

Or, if there is a problem with the customer. It would be nice to hear the dealers side of the story.
They wouldn't block your calls and want to cancel your order without something going on.

From the day I ordered I was GUARANTEED to have weekly updates, can call with any questions or concerns, and a locked in price. Well, weeks go by with zero updates, I call or text my salesman with no response. So I call the dealer. The dealer gives me a update and then literally minutes later, my salesman texts me a nasty text saying, “ dude DO NOT ever call the dealer for a update, I’m the only one that’s allowed to update you. That’s final. Got it?” Weeks go by, he finally sends me a POC after 4 weeks. The price on the POC was $1000 higher than we I was guaranteed. So yesterday called him, no response all day. Finally texted him way later in the evening. All I got back was, “well your price went up $1000, oh well”. So I went to the dealer ( I was already heated lol), talked straight to the sales manager, and he pretty much told me the same thing as my salesman. Even with me having a signed POC with the sales price we agreed on. So at that point I was super heated, started telling him that this was super unprofessional way to do business and shady. He threatened to cancel my order for me “ raising my voice at him” lol. My salesman calls my buddy that works in service saying that I need to quit blowing him up (meanwhile I’ve only texted him a total of 2 times), and he’s gonna light the truck on fire as soon as it gets to the dealer. Long story, but who knows if they’ll cancel my order or not. Told them not to, but my salesman is that type of guy that would do it behind my back I feel like.

Did your POC show the optional "Price Protection"?
If that option does not appear on your POC it gives the
dealer the option to raise pricing in relation to FCA price increases.

I waited 8 months for my truck and the price was exactly what the dealer
and I agreed on the day I ordered it. He had put on the "3AB Price Protection" option.

I'd go to kernsville and get one before I waited that long.

I live 30 minutes from there and would rather wait or purchase another brand before I stepped foot back there, my experience in 2016 was equivalent to a one star google review. No trades, just wanted to purchase my wife a Jeep GC Overland and 2 3500 diesels. I left after the dealership owner's son as he identified as a title said something rude to my wife.

We had a written agreement that the price was locked in, signed by me, salesman, and sales manager.

I'm gonna go with "that's not the whole story for 800". There's no way a salesman and manager are both that rude out of the blue. You must be a real treat to work with.

Weekly updates are not going to happen. I was guaranteed several things when I joined the military but it seems a salesman and recruiter bend the truth so they can accomplish goals. If you put a deposit down then you have one of two options, speak with them but don't get emotional and ask them to honor the price in the POC. Second, if you put a deposit down and your price went up after a signed POC then I would contact a lawyer. Before anyone says anything here about "its not worth it"; a $1000 can turn into a very expensive civil case after the dealer would have to pay for legal counsel.

If you didn't put a deposit down, politely tell them to (insert 4 letter word here) off, leave a poor google review, yelp review, file a BBB complaint and defriend your dealership friend on facebook.

In his defense, they can mark the vehicle up after it arrives and make more money or "blue sky"

I've dealt with dealers of heavy equipment, trade contractors and others that simple don't understand tort & contracts or basic human interactions.

Need financial advise if you well,

when you guys ordered your trucks, did you have the bank loan ready and if so when do you actually pay for the truck, upon receipt or before it gets shipped? i guess when is the time to go the bank and apply for the loan? I know most dealers require min deposit of 500-1000. when exactly your bank send the money over. I am paying half cash and half finance to lower my payments. can you please shed some light on that process. first time ordering a truck?
My dealer Jim Shorkey in North Huntington requires a $1,000 deposit. No credit check no loans until the truck comes in.

Without the Price Protection Option you are s**t out of luck! It states on the POC:
"This is not an invoice. The prices and equipment shown on this priced order confirmation are tentative and subject to change or correction without prior notice".

The "Price Protection? option is a no charge option. If your dealer will not add it, well, I just don't know what to say about that!

My POC from Mark Didge doesn’t reflect “3AB Price Protection”? Is that something done when ordering or something the dealer requests post order when prices change?

I would cancel and move on to another dealer. Nobody I’m spending $80k with gets to be rude to me in any way unless i was being rude to them.

You asking for updates, that they said they would give you is not rude.

I would let that piece of s*** sales manager cancel the order and get your deposit back. Call your credit card company and dispute with whatever information you have as backup if they wont give the deposit back.

There are so many dealers that will treat you better because they want to earn your business now and in the future.

Also, it sounds like the price went up already so it doesnt matter if you re order elsewhere.

Cut your losses. And if you were being rude, make sure you arent to the next dealer.

Exactly how I feel about it. But the only time I was rude, was when they were being rude. I treat people how they treat me.
