2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Do you drive with one? 8 years and I've literally never once grabbed the radio knob. They're different sizes, different texture, different feel (radio is easy to turn, shifter has resistance)

Not saying you don't have a legit concern, just not something I've ever had an issue with.
If it has a dial, I am going to chuck it at the engineers that thought this is a great idea. Do you guys do any user testing besides engineers?
nobs look like alevery other damn nob. For **** sake trying to change gears and your radio volume goes up.

I second this, I drove with one for 3 years, never once accidently used it instead of my radio dial.

Everyone says this before they actually drive with one including me. I would be surprised if he has previously owned a vehicle with one and still holds that opinion.

I think he was joking about the radio, it’s just one of those changes that many people don’t like. I do know a bunch of 1500s with them wont let you put it in reverse and back up if the door is open. That is something I do frequently when hooking up to a trailer

I drove with one. Had a 19 2500 6.4 and did not like it. Did the same as other's posted. Got in and accidentally grabbed radio volume and many other's I know have done the same that own these. It's just a learning curve to get used to. Didn't like it and glad the 6.7L comes with column shift.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve done this. I had a 2021 1500 for about 4 months. I can’t tell you how many times I grabbed the Volume knob!!

Yep...this too.

What should I do guys? My salesman never responds to my text or calls. Should I just show up to the dealer to get a update? Or keep trying to get a response

I would speak to the General Manager. Just tell him that you’re not out to bug the salesman but you DO expect an update when you do call/text!! That’s BS.

And tell the SM you want to be assigned another rep. Someone that will follow up with you.
and... if you do stick with the dealer and/or the same salesman, be sure to do a thorough lookover the truck to make sure they took good care of it. People are stupid and will try to get back at you however they can even though it only hurts them more.

The only updates I get are from Ramchat hahaha and we all know that’s a terrible source of info.

Very true. Had the aftermarket sales guy try to pull crap with me. Kept telling him that my front end needed alignment on my 2019 2500 (new), he kept giving me excuses and I guess he felt like I was trying to tell him how to do his job, he said he'd get it done. Picked up the truck the next day, drove 1mi down the road and the same. Checked the TMPS, he added 10lbs of air to the front right. Took it right back and talked directly to service manager. Service Manager said my new truck (dealer traded) had not seen his shop since it arrived. Yep. There are turds out there and just for no reason other than to save face took the short cut and thought I wouldn't notice...BROTHA Pleeeease!

yeah you need to get in contact with that sales manager or GM, its possible your guy got fired for all you know too. Either way if the dealer isnt willing to give you updates, they dont deserve the $60k+ vehicle sale.
Oh he’s very much still there. He posts all the vehicles he’s trying to sell on Facebook all day long lol

My first salesman quit due to lack of inventory to sell. Since then I've been dealing with the manager.
