2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

So far all you that have vehicles on order that haven't moved at all in weeks, or even months, at what point do you throw in the in the towel? At what point do you figure it's a lost cause and cancel and/or re-order?

For those with 2021's on order it does seem as though those vehicle aren't getting built, right? Seems like they're just putting the impetus on you to cancel and re-order 2022's and pray.

Production is obviously moving, albeit without any rhyme or reason as to how, why, or in what order. But it is moving. When do you cut bait? Or do you just leave it as is and hope you get a vehicle somewhere down the road and save a couple grand as the prices keep going up?
Im to the point the wait is shorter than looking for and finding something i dont get exactly what i want with. Tge whole sale values are climbing slightly again so i dont have a problem.

I emailed dozen dealerships yesterday and one of the semi local dealerships sent a build sheet/equipment list back to me that was a decent price. I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple more dealerships, but can anyone tell me what HB (I think that is Hold Back), FFP and EP mean?

Hold back is an amount of money paid to the dealerships from Ram. Ffp is friends and family price. EP is employee price.
A good starting point is Invoice minus Hold Backs.

My truck will likely be here before I'm back in the US; and before my King shocks arrive. Instead of agonizing on how Ram is building vehicles, I'll just carry on with may day and worry about things within my control. Don't drive yourselves crazy over this folks...this mindset is partly why dealer's are getting premiums for in-stock units; because folks are impatient and want things now!

FFP is friends and family pricing. EP is employee pricing. I don't know the requirements for EP but I know I qualify through my B-I-L who works for Chrystler.

Thanks. They are offering the listed FFP plus $699 dealer handling and sales tax.

My Tradesman 4x4 crew cab was ordered 6-16 NG107601 with the AAU safety group and no Build sheet as of yet, so it must be the chip hold up the safety group has BSM, Adaptive steering, Digital rearview mirror, Lane keep assist, Power folding Mirrors .I have not seen any build sheets yet with the AAU
I ordered Tradesman with safety group and tow tech 6/30 and it's already built. So could it be something else.

I use an Anderson ultimate hitch. Have pulled my 5th wheel over 20k miles with it. I wouldn't go with anything else. I have a 15 2500 6.7 Laramie, so its a short box. I put a mat under my hitch when it's mounted. Some that mount them metal to metal have complained of bed deflection. Once I remove the mat in my truck you wouldn't even know I pull a 5th wheel

Took a week before my truck got assigned its VIN. You can ping your dealer or reach out to Ram Chat thru Ramtrucks.com or some folks contact them thru Facebook I’ve seen.

There aren’t very many options at this point. I am in it for the long haul. Even if other manufactures trucks are available, I am partial to my RAM trucks. This will be my 8th Dodge / RAM truck (and hopefully my last!).
Yes,every company is in the same boat, I was a Ford tech for 20 years before FCA, they all have issues, now it's just a teeny tiny chip.

EP is direct employees only, your BIL would get you FFP pricing. They have tightened the requirements up a lot in the last year and a half
