For those wanting to install the engine block heater, it’s much more accessible on the ‘19 than prior years. You don’t even have to remove the air box anymore as the plug is right there and accessible from the top looking down at the oil filter. Remove plastic cover and snap in your block heater. See pics below. 10 min job and then route along frame to front of vehicle behind license plate. Easy!

So I’m assuming it’s something we can add After we get our truck an order separately?

Yes, every cummins 6.7 engine comes with a built in block heater plug. Right next to the oil filter. The snow package will add the chord already from the factory. But you can skip that part and just buy the chord afterwards (I got the fleetgaurd chord) and plugged it in then routed it out the front license plate. So yes, you can add this afterwards.
 
What’s this other part? Is it two parts to install?

Plus the orange connector looks different from Part 68223419AA or is there a different part number?

I was excited about this post until I realized it's for the diesel. I started a thread about adding one to the hemi but it didn't get far

What did you want to know? The 6.4 block has a dry well spot ready to go for the element pictured above. Put it in the well, secure the bolt, plug in and run the cord.
 
I didn't know where it was located or if it had one, and Google searches weren't helping either
 
All 6.4 hemis have the dry well. It is located on the bottom rear driver side of the block. I paid a shop to install mine, about $40. They removed and reinstalled the starter to make it easier. This was on a 2014*
 
And that's where I (half assed) looked for it. I was having a really hard time dealing with the front drive components, and I had a mirror out to help. I'll have to try to look again
 
This is a 2019 with 6.4. On the block, above the starter, where the block and trans join. Tough spot to get from underneath without a jack or lift.

Ohhhh now I see, perfect thanks.

Looks like removing that starter is the way to go

You're welcome. That is why I paid the local shop $40. Simple for them on their lift. Much harder to do both lying on your back.


I believe the part numbers are;

Heating element: 68225550AA
Cord: 68219820AA
Screw: 6501373
 
I was told a different part number. 68409910AB

I went ahead and had the plug done as factory option. My days of crawling around on my back are done. However I did buy the plug adapter I guess what’s like shown but I will be drilling a hole in the side of the plastic front license plate bracket and mounting to the side. Easier for me to see to plug in that underneath. But for those states that don’t require front plate that’s a great place where you mounted it
