2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

What build tool are the guys using thar are currently building trucks to check pricing differences between bh, Laramie and Limited? Ram's site still only let's you build a irrelevant 2021.

I completely disagree about the adaptive cruise. I drive 1k-1500k miles a week in a cherokee that has it and all the other bells and whistles. Adaptive cruise is a huge safety upgrade. And reduces the stress placed on you from driving so much. I rarely have to cancel my cruise and resume it. Unless coming to a stop. It one of the features I insisted I had to have if I was going to upgrade my truck.

I only use my truck to pull a large 5th wheel, usually between 5-10k miles a year. So the cruise is May be more valuable to me than others that don't drive long distances though.

The costco build will show MSRP and invoice.

Ford's ACs have ALWAYS been king in my experience in all of their vehicles. Whatever they know that the others don't is incredible.
My only concern. Currently have an F150 ( which I really like) and it has amazing AC. I’ve had a 2011 RAM 1500 and the AC was fine, hopefully the HD will also.

That is a tough one. I currently have a 2022 F-250 build sheet out to 2 dealers waiting on pricing. With the 12” in the Ford now, they’re pretty close to the same truck. I ordered a Limited MegaCab on 6/21. If I don’t hear anything in next 2 weeks, I’m moving forward with Ford. I hate it too, because I love my Ram! I need a bigger backseat tho, and the more I look at F/250, the better they look. I really don’t need the storage behind seat, I need backseat room for little girls that like putting their feet all over Daddy’s nice seats, haha!

30+ weeks on a Ford build!

There's 1010 2022 Ram 2500 Trucks nationwide on auto trader right now and RaM still hasn't put 2022 info on their website. What a failure

No limiteds or Longhorns listed on there yet. Also pulled up some of the Vins of Laramie’s and none were showing window stickers yet either.

My wife's car has the adaptive cruise and I find my self turning it off more often than not. I am so accustom to driving with regular cruise that I don't notice when I come up on a slower vehicle and the cruise slows me down and keeps me a safe distance behind, even on the closest setting. I'm used the visual of coming up on the slower car as signal to my brain to move over. Since ACC comes with the other features I wanted in the Safety Group, I'll try it but ultimately might always turn it off. Maybe when towing it'll be more useful to me since I'll likely be the slowest on the road.
Your experience does seem to be the most common complaint that most users have of Adaptive Cruise. Rarely do I ever have that problem. I drive so much I can easily tell when I am going slower that usual. Plus I always have the info screen on speedometer and it is easy to see I have slowed down. But I always have it on the closest setting so if I am behind a car I know they are going slower than me usually. It really comes in nice when towing and you cannot pass. In order to pass with a 13k lb 5th wheel behind you, you need about miles of room. If there are more than 2 vehicles to pass its not happening. (On single lane roads) that when it is/would be nice to just back the distance off and let the truck do the work. I've driven about 150k miles with it the past 3 years and think it is worth ever penny. But I really do think it depends on driving style and how much driving someone does. I only drive about 5 over the speed limit so I am not a speedster either. While towing my 5th wheel then it is about 5 over unless we are to 70 mph or more speed limits then I keep it at 72

I feel that if this was the experience for everyone, Ram wouldn’t offer sunroofs or they would find a way to make them work. Is it something he’s doing to cause the leaks?
I'm referring to the Ford sunroofs. It's a well documented problem.
Pretty hard to "do something wrong" with a sunroof... not to mention, if he was it wouldn't be a warranty issue.

Go to the NADA site. It has the 2022 trucks and the options match the dealer build sheets.

I spent some time in the back seat of an F-150 last week dove hunting. Roomier than mine, flat floor, and the AC kicked Ram to the curb, but the seats were nowhere near as comfortable. If it matters, it was a cloth trim truck. Seemed harder to get into (door opening shorter?)
I drove both, Lariat (leather) and XLT cloth. Went from the Lariat straight into a Laramie and the difference was noticeable. Yeah, the AC in the Ford blows, in a good way! Looking for a Ford midsize, Ranger. Wish Ram had the Dakota or Ram "1000" already or whatever they are going to call the midsize truck when they decide to build it.

Cannot vouch for the validity but this guy on HD 2500 Facebook page told me this. The HD plants are expecting a shipment of chips. So if that's accurate we could be seeing allot of movement by the end of the week.
Corporate did say the supply changes by the day and sometimes hour.

I have not experienced this problem with my HO towing just the 12K 5th.

Towing 16K with the 5th and boat does take a bit more planning and execution.

Also received a email. Whoop Whoop

Hello Jeremy,

This is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new 2022 Ram 3500 factory order status.

Good News! At this present time, your vehicle is currently progressing through the build process. Depending on your unique vehicle configuration, extra time may be necessary for extra options, packages, or factory features selected with your build. Your vehicle should be concluding this process shortly and moving forward to the inspection and quality checks of the process.

Additionally, Thank you for your response! Regrettably we dont have access to codes but I will be able to provide updates once they become available. Typically we are only provided an estimated time of arrival once the vehicle has begun shipping stage.

As promised, we are continuing to prioritize your order with our factory resources to ensure your order remains prioritized for next steps.

I will continue to monitor your order with our factory resources teams. Once additional updates become available for your order, I will be reaching out further to you to share these updates. Your authorized ordering dealership will be an additional excellent resource for any order updates or questions you might have.

I will continue to follow your order and provide details as they become available. Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Ram Trucks Family!

Sincerely,

Cara

What the email address you guys are using to get info? I have my vin and would like to check my status.

I 100% agree you will kick yourself if you dont like something. I am on my 3rd truck in 2 years because i settled for something 2x in a row and the used market allowed me to correct my mistake both times

What Jake said. My wife talked me into getting a TRX. Hated the truck so much I made it 5 months and had to get rid of it. Couldn’t of hated a truck more. What you don’t like will eat away at you. Lol

Hello all, Aside from the Newbie introduction this is my first post. I've been reading all the information being exchanged on this Forum and it's great. I ordered my 2500 on July 14, 2021 and today I was told that it was in transit from the plant. It was suppose to have shipped on or around August 23rd and they gave an estimate of September 17th for it to arrive in Baltimore but I'm not holding my breath. Aside form having a plain KZ for the status that is all I have at this point. It is a simple build, kind of like me. No frills just what I need to do what it is intended for with a little bit of comfort and looks. It's a Tradesman crew 4x4 with the Cummins in Olive Green. Tradesman level 2 package, Snow Chief Group, Chrome Appearance and Bed Utility Group. I was actually surprised when I was contacted and told it shipped as I was expecting longer delays but I guess all the thoughts on this thread related to the number of bells and whistles and the correlation with build times and delays is true. I'll post when I hear something else concrete. Good luck everyone.
