2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

The dealerships around here are asking around 10k over sticker price for new HD Trucks on the lot.
Airpark Ram in Scottsdale Arizona has well equipped 2500 BH's with $6k off the MSRP. I don't know much about this dealership, but it's a huge red flag for me when they are selling them at a substantial discount when everyone else is selling them at a premium with added mark-ups. I'm guessing they probably tag on huge fees when you purchase so it cancels out the discount.

We bought our Durango from them in 2016. Their internet sales were 100% on the up and up. Good trade in value. They didn’t have any add-ons on the car. Their finance, of course, tried the whole dog and pony show. But we had a good experience there.

and for those that aren’t in the phx area, Alice Cooper is affiliated with the dealership lol.

Does anyone know if ram boxes are back ordered ? I have a estimated ship of 9/8 but I ordered ram boxes so idk if that will screw me

I sure hope not. Mine has ram boxes too. I can’t imagine there being a delay on these. We will both find out in 3 days if our trucks leave D1.

They will sell fast. May not even make it on the website but I know they are there because I looked at them. The patriot blue Laramie is beautiful. The sales manager said they are inventory, not pre-order so go grab you one!
Any mega cabs? I have my '22 on order as of last week. Would like to just check out a '22 even though its not that much different from the '21s I've test driven.

Did you get any update if yours moved out of d1 so far mine hasn’t moved since the 14th

I heard a rumor yesterday from someone at a RAM dealer who said that RAM recently brought on a new chip manufacturer out of Arizona who was involved with a new Google operation there. He said chips we’re starting to get cranked out quickly from the new plant. Again, just what I heard and have no actual data to back that up. Would be great if it was the case though!
Have not heard that from the Ram higher ups,all the BigHorns going to dealers now seem to be lightly optioned.

My 22 BH 3500 is one of those lightly optioned trucks. Ram chat says all my parts are gathered and I am waiting to be sequenced for production.

Same here, dealer said it’s been D1 since the first of August? Looking at some of the available VIN/window stickers, date of order obviously means nothing.

Marketing got ahold of me, power fold mirrors are an issue and possibly 360 degree camera, they say it is changing daily and sometimes hourly for the chips on higher spec builds. I can change my order if I want the truck sooner, since I am buying this truck instead of leasing I want it the way I ordered it, I will wait it out since it will be my retirement truck.
brv10,

Marketing from where, the dealership or Stellantis?

Be safe,
Randy

Well I ordered a 2022 Red Pearl Night Editon 3500 ccsb diesel on Friday. Sunroof, 12" uconnect, 5th wheel prep, towing tech group, trailering camera package, bed package, clearance lights, power running boards, rear air suspension. Getting about 65k for my 2019 6.4 and about 9k off msrp. Now we wait.

That's going to be a beautiful truck! It looks like you checked the long wait option too, lol. I'm guessing 6-8 month wait time? They give you any general quotes?

I work for a large family who owns many dealerships in our local area. (I have nothing to do with the car business side).

Ordered a 2022 2500 Laramie Crew Cab with every option except for engine block heater, snow plow stuff, trailer camera pre wire, and 5th wheel prep (don’t plan on ever towing a 5th wheel in 2500 with short bed)

Was told the 10-12 week time frame has been holding up to this point. They have no reason to lie to me. They aren’t making any money off my sale, and they know I’m in no rush whatsoever. Doesn’t matter to me if it’s 8 weeks or 8 months. I’m just planning ahead as we’ve all learned in this “new normal” you must do.

I’ll reach out to them this week and see if I can get any more info.

lol long wait option. He said expect nov, dec, jan lol. But really, it gets here when it gets here. It's not like I don't have wheels, I'm still driving a nice HD.

I honestly don’t think dealers are lying about the 10-12 week timeline. It’s just no one actually knows how long it’s going to take so they throw out the standard 10-12 week timeframe. Then Ram builds what they can when they can…and nobody knows what order it’s in.

My dealer here is saying 18 weeks .. I am about to order my big horn dually now as I want it by April 2022. Any delivery date is ok with me and that is why I am ordering in a week instead of next year as I am afraid I’d miss getting the truck I need for summer.
