2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

It's still only a knob with the gas engine. Diesels have the shifter. All gas have the knob but in every other trim level it's a brushed silver color. This change is just pointing out it'll be a black onyx color shift knob on the black limited interior
So I have a Limited with Night package and black interior. So cool that everything will be dark accent inside as per this PDF….

blank onyx is just a fancy way of saying shiny black. I think these means that all the silver/mirrored pieces in this screenshot would now be shiny black, instead of shiny silver. View attachment 21290
Is stellantis saying these black trim pieces will be on all limited interiors? Or is that part of the limited black edition? I'm just trying to figure out if my limited night edition will have these or not.

Ram Heavy Duty Limited Black interior updates include Black Onyx cluster rings, cluster badge, door handles, steering wheel logo, electronic shifter knob, glove box logo and Black Smoke speaker grilles

Does anyone know what this black onyx looks like?
Does this mean my limited with night package will come with these changes?

I'm not sure, I'm wondering the same thing. It's not really clear to me if they are saying all limited will have this or if it will be part of the limited black edition.
I read it again and it says its correlated to the black interior if thats the interior color you go with. So night package for sure.

Because that always works. You guys are like a bunch of overgrown, whiny children! Consider the times we are in, all of the $hit going on in the world, all of the shortages of parts, people, labor and so on not to mention the whole covid issue that just further compounds the issues I've mention and be happy that you are able to even order a brand new truck and pay for it when it shows up. I was quoted 14-16wks when I ordered my truck and fully expected it to take the full 16wks, it was part of the process and explained to me when I placed the order. I don't get the clowns on here that post several times a day about chatting with Ram chat every couple hours for updates or the people that constantly reach out to their sales people and wonder why they never hear anything back, they are tired of hearing your same lame a$$ "where is my truck, when will it be built, why can't I change my option" and every other bull$hit questions you people pester them with. No one cares that you're on the brink of canceling you order, no one cares that you're going to "raise hell" with your dealer, it just makes you look like an a$$ to everyone reading your posts (and I hate to single you out as this isn't directed to just you, it is to the whole group of whiny babies in here). Just settle down, wait for your quoted time frame to show and then you have a right to complain after you've waited the said time. You are doing the dealer a favor and putting more $'s in their pocket if you cancel your order, they don't care, it's one less cry baby to deal with and they get to make more money off of someone that is willing to walk in, pick a truck and happily pay MSRP to get it today.
Yea.......but see heres the thing, we're not looking for a charitable government handout. We are customers in a private capitalist market purchasing a product being sold for profit. We've all dropped $1k plus on a deposit and we have every right to question the delivery of said product. I don't care what shortages or setbacks or heartaches that ram encounters the same way they wouldn't care about me. If they can't deliver the product that they're selling then they shouldn't sell it.

That being said I'm not complaining about my current wait time

Yea...if you could be a little less YOU... that'd be great.

Please refer to previous post... :)

The times we are in have nothing to do with what I see as the biggest problems. I’m done with the blanket COVID/times excuses. Not being able to configure/see exactly what a 22 has/can get, 4 months after 21 orders we’re stopped, has nothing to do with “the times we are in”. Not being able to get reliable information on an ETA has nothing to do with the “times we are in”. I schedule work years ahead, and am held by subs and owners to dates. Even in today’s times, anyone worth their salt should be able to project material and production at least 6 months out.If we run into future shut downs, then all bets are off till the supply chain restarts. You can continue to buy the blanket excuse if you chose, I will continue to have expectations of a company I am giving money to.

Made it official today. $78,2xx is a fantastic deal. Can't beat Aaron at Mark Dodge.

That’s a great deal. I went through Aaron at Mark Dodge as well when I ordered mine. Wife and I are going to fly from Indy Lake Charles when it’s ready and drive the truck home. They even offered us shuttle service from our hotel to the dealership.

Is it normal for ram care (the call in version) to not be able to find your order? I just called and they couldn't find it so the "escalated" my call and will receive a call back tomorrow.

What dealerships are requiring deposits? I ordered thru Mark Dodge and they mentioned a deposit but I said no.

Dealerships get punished if a customer backs out I believe, which is why most require a deposit. You know they won’t have any problems selling the truck these days…but my guess is it is to pad their pocket if you back out and Ram gets mad.

I reached out to Sandi to see if she has any information regarding the appearance package changes for MY22. Will report back if I hear anything new.
