your post convinced me to ask the dealer for an update! Glad I did. Still not out of the woods. Plenty have went D1 back to D.
So far so good even ram care says it’s in D1 so I’m pretty shocked . Let’s hope they don’t sit in a storage lot for weeks starting on 9/8.
 
No info from Sandi on my Laramie 6.4 hemi with a sunroof, I was one of the D1s that got pushed back to D.. but an FCA insider looked up my vin and sent me this. Looks like my build is tentatively scheduled for October 25th. We’ll see.View attachment 21191
Damn 2 months away… then prob another few weeks until you actually get it. Hopefully it comes sooner for you

We’ll see if I have any value in my 1500 Laramie trade when the time comes. The 47k they offered me might not be even close to what I actually get by the time it comes in. I was 50/50 between an f250 and a ram 2500, I prefer the ram interior. If I could go back I’d go the other way though after seeing people getting their 2022s already. You live and you learn.

Damn I wish I could figure out how the schedule these. So many guys posting new POC’s that they switched to D1. A few guys with the exact same build as mine but ordered 2+ months after me. Just wish I could figure out the system lol
 
I just asked for an update from Sandi. My 2500 CCSB Laramie w/BSM ordered July 5th is still in D status.

I did ask for the body color bumpers to be added 3 days after I placed my order. My latest POC shows that change was accepted. But my total order cost went up $740 in addition to the $395 for the body color bumpers. If I knew that's how it would have worked, I wouldn't have made the request. Oh well. It could have been worse.

I hear ya. My dealer quoted me almost $77k for my 20 limited . I’ve put 1500 miles on it since then . I’m worried I’ll get screwed when my actually shows up .

I’m with you on that. They gave me a 55,000 mile limit on it and I’m at about 53,200, and I move from PA to North Carolina October 15. So there’s some serious mileage there, not to mention the 1300 miles to Louisiana to pick it up. I would have sold it but I need a truck for work.

. I was on the fence about a 22 f250 as well since I just traded my 17 f250 in for my 2500 limited . But I wasn’t paying $80k for the exact same interior as a 17 f250 with a bigger screen. Ram hands down has the best interior . I ordered my 22 with no sunroof . Had such a nightmare that I had to put in a lemon law claim with stelantis for them to actually look into it . Glad I won’t worry about any leaks on my new truck

I had a company take home until covid magically disappeared and my company took the trucks back …I told my dealer I’d only put 500 max on my truck. I had to call them back and my salesman said as long as I don’t wrap it around a pole there should be no issue with trade . But I trust ram care more than a dealer so I’m worried

Agreed, it makes no sense at all. Kind of regretting the Ram decision now.
 
I posted an update earlier but here's some extra info for those that may have a similar build. Ordered 6/4 and still in D status. 2500 CC Big Horn 4x4 Cummins. Level B package and 8.4 radio with navigation are the only big tech items I ordered. I was in D1 status back in July and was D1 on 8/1 the last time I checked. Went back to D soon after that and been in a holding pattern ever sense. For those that may be in the know, is there something in the Level B package that would have a chip shortage? I can't imagine the 8.4 radio with Nav would have anything holding it up. Rest of my build is just parts stuff, 20" wheels, side steps, gooseneck 5th wheel package, clearance lights etc. etc.

Same thing with the add on acceptance, except mine was for the tow mode camera. It’s only $400 and some change, but because Ram increased the price between my original order and when they accepted it, the total is like +$1100 more. I wouldn’t have paid $1100 for that camera, although I’m glad I have it. Oh well. No way we could have known that was going to be the case when we requested the change. And I sure as hell am not changing anything else now!
 
If anyone is reaching out to ram chat, when they ask “is there anything else I can help with?” Ask them to mention bringing back VOTS (Vehicle Order Tracking System), so that way we don’t have to bother them with the inquiries any more. That and Ford allows their customers to track orders. Might not happen, but maybe it could.
 
My buddy whose a gm at one of the biggest Chevy dealers in the country said he’s cancelling customer orders because gm is shutting plants back down due to chips. So Atleast we aren’t at that point ….yet

I hear the same from Nissan regarding the new Frontier...
