Well pulled the plug today. Was in the market for a new 2500 Bighorn mega but ended up with a 2500 Laramie. Got 9% off msrp. Hope I didn’t overpay. They also gave me 50k for my 2018 Ram 2500 BH mega(special order loaded).

I'm in North Alabama too and was planning on ordering with Mark Dodge. What kind of freak did you get local? They were about $4k more than Mark Dodge the last time I talked to them.

I am. First year I have ever ordered one from the factory. Always just bought them off the showroom floor. Ordered a 2500 mega cab longhorn. As far as the ram chat thing I quoted, how are they not reliable? They tell me it is in the scheduling phase (has been since June 26th) and I double check with my dealer and get the same result.
 
Since ram chat is not reliable can anyone look up my vin and get the status? I see there is movement on the limited so hopefully my longhorn is being built. I did go with the gas engine vs the Cummins so I don't know if that holds up anything. My VIN is 3C6UR5PJ2NG116863 ordered 6/26.

At least for the 2022s, they’ve been spitting out canned responses. Folks being told the 2022s aren’t even in production, when they have a build sheet and Monroney sticker already.

Usually the dealer is the best source for status updates. I’m not saying RAM chat will always give you a crap answer, that’s just been their MO lately.

It would be awesome if my dealer would answer my texts or calls. Honestly think that since I got employee pricing and he isn't making that much off me that he doesn't really care to answer me. He initially told me he would update me a couple times a week with an update. He has responded once in 9 weeks and has never taken it upon himself to update me like he said he would.

My truck was ordered a couple of days after yours and I didn’t get safety equipment it’s a mega limited and is in C1 as of yesterday evening. My truck was in d for weeks and the bighorn that was ordered on the 6/14 went back from D1 to D because of safety equipment. The dealer was told up to a 60 day delay because parts are either stuck overseas and some are stuck in shipping container.

You give me hope, I ordered about a week after you, 2500 Mega Laramie also without safety equipment or a sunroof. Hopefully i get moved to C soon.

Uhhh C is WORSE than D. It's a step backwards. You want D to D1. C basically means it's on indefinite hold and FCA won't agree to build it as is. It's usually due to significant delays in parts

no per the general manager it’s in production. D1 is just planning phase.

You should request an updated POC to see the status. C1 doesn’t make sense according to the status codes. C is definitely not good

I found this in another forum;

C: Sub firm - Tentative schedule
D: Firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available
D1: Gateline schedule - scheduled to be built
