2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Ready for some good news boys (and girls).... the line is moving! I've got vehicles in "I" status (pending final inspection)! Remember, once up and running, they can build nearly 700/shift, and 2 shifts per day, so around 1400 trucks per day assuming they have all the parts and chips.

Even the top trim is untouched. Not the end of the world if this translates to HD’s, but also not what I ordered. Sucks. Again, if HD’s end up being impacted, I’d much rather be given an option in my order: wait a TBD amount of time and get what I ordered, or get it sooner, save a few bucks, and strip out certain pieces. I guess we’ll see, hopefully sooner rather than later.

The way I read this is you now have to forego that option or step up to the Level 1 that includes those features.

Have to wonder how factory/dealers will handle it if true. Drop the option automagically, give buyers the choice to upgrade?
 
I just wanted to tell everyone my experience, I went to a local dealer on Monday 8/23 to order 2500 Laramie, 6.4 CCSB. I wanted Laramie A package with safety B package, as well as some other options. on Wednesday I got a call from the buyer at the dealer saying that my order was kicked back to the dealer because of the safety B package. I told the dealer that the reason i chose the Ram over the GMC was because of the adaptive cruise. (GM told me they had eliminated it off the trucks until the chip shortage was in better shape). Thursday afternoon i called the dealer back while on the phone, was told that the safety B package was greyed out on Wednesday after noon. but while i was on the phone he attempted to build the truck again and able to submit the order. I will call today to see if the order got kicked back again.

I received similar news today also. Anyone know how long shipping times are, once it's shipped?
 
My dealer told me that my estimated ship date was 8/28 and verified that a day or two ago. RAMCHAT says the parts are not there when I ask this time, the prior time they said they were all there. I even asked if the dealer was giving me bad info adn they said yes. I guess I will find out in a day or two if the window sticker shows up....

Don’t count on it. My estimate was 8/11 and now all my parts aren’t received. Order date 5/10

got a VIN today!!! so the factory must have accepted my order with the safety B package. I guess I am just inline with the rest of you now. I hope I have the truck by the end of the year.

Just joining the chat here! Here is my build sheet for limited 2500 mega cab ordered on 5/24. RAM Chat said yesterday all the parts were there and production should be started or be starting very soon. Going to check back in a week or so.Untitled.png

My dealer checked a couple orders today, they show the Tradesman they ordered a few weeks back was in D1? Dont know if that helps but its what he saw today.
