Oh I have been pestering ram this week asking for answers. Lol, like that's gonna happen. I don't mind the wait but telling me it's built and shipping then yanking the rug and sending to storage is frustrating. Frustrating in the sense that they can't tell me why. I just want to know why. Curious mind and all. I have till October till I'll worry about needing it for what I bought it for. Until then I'm along for the ride so to speak.

What color did you try to order that got denied?
I've heard that the keys are getting stolen down in Mexico. Not sure how true that is.

Sorry if it came across that way, but I didn't mean to imply YOU were lying. Just saying given the current times and that Mark Dodge is about the best deal I've seen at 12% off that someone giving 20% off is very hard to believe. I'm not sure where "up here" is but I'm guessing Canada maybe?? If it is a US dealer would you mind pm'ing me the info or posting the full dealer name? At 20% off it would be worth giving them a call to see what the real OTD pricing would be

I'd also be curious what dealer this is. 20% off doesn't feel ridiculous to me on a 1500 classic. But it would be amazing on a brand new HD truck.

That 20% shown was a 1500 in Canada. Which was common in the states prior to COVID on the 1500s, right?

Yes, that is in Canada. Same discounts apply to the HD trucks as well. I got a little over 22% discount on my 3500 that is on it's way in.
Another member on this forum from our area got 19.5% discount on his purchase.

Amazing! Wish we had that ability here and if that was the norm I'd definitely buy new trucks on much more frequent basis. Quite honestly, if it wasn't for Sandi @ Mark Dodge I would have taken my time to find a good deal and went used again. Their pricing is so good that it literally made sense for me to buy brand new as the used trucks locally are being priced right at MSRP or just a hair below

I think that is why all of the used trucks in Canada are going to the USA. With the US Dollar being so strong right now and our trucks
(including used) selling for less, everything is going South of the Border.

I tried to order anvil, turned out the factory was built out of that color.

Dealer didn't mention the keys thing?

It's expected to arrive around Sept 6th, give or take 5 days

I don,t know where you are CJM I,m in western Canada and i have not seen any discounts like that here maybe at the end of the 2020,s were about 10 K off, I got 6250 off msrp and right now its only 4250 on HDs ,
Only high discounts are on the 1500s and in Vancouver inflated 10 to 15 k above msrp including the 4250 discount

I guess we are lucky in Atlantic Canada. We didn't see as much of the greed here during the pandemic
like wealthier more populated areas in the country. Most of the higher prices we saw here were passed
along to the local retailers from greedy manufactures and distributors.
