2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Thanks for the info. Trying to get a hold of my dealer now.

My dealer had a $399 security activation fee. I LOL'd.
Dennis Dillon in ID tried to slide in a $650 safety kit that etched the glass and made your 3rd brake light flash when you brake. I was told that management said it was mandatory.

When I called them on it and told them I wasn't going to pay it, it magically lost the mandatory status, but they tried to chang their "dealer document fee" of $350 to a "dealer fee" of $650. I called them on that and was told it was a typo... how does a typo change both the name and value of a fee?

Here's a thread to discuss your new 2022 Truck orders.

Due to complaints and until further notice, dealers now need to create a new thread for their dealership if they wish to conduct business in the forums.

Please don't poach in the Sticky Builds and Orders discussion threads. Dealers may create one post here with a link to their thread if desired. Answering member questions on options is OK but don't discuss your private deals here in this thread.

Dealers are required to contact site staff before conducting business ("Advertising") in the forums. TOS and Site Rules have not changed but have been clarified.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Member @OfficerDirtySanchez has created a Crowd Sourced Order tracking document if you wish to participate. HE maintains the data, not the admin or staff @HDRAMS.COM

Please carry on conversations related to that document in that thread.

This site doesn’t update nor does it allow the correct VIN to be inputted. It inserted a 3NG code and will not allow changes.

Yea I’ve been looking for weeks at 21s I’m in the same boat about my trade. My dealer offered me $76k for my 20 limited. I’m worried that will drop significantly when my new truck finally arrives . All these dealers with 21s are adding 4-6k to msrp due to supply .
See, I traded my truck in early to prevent the drop in value. But now... I don't have a truck and waiting without any type of eta is getting increasingly difficult. I ordered June 24th in the hopes of mid October delivery. That doesn't look like it's going to happen. To make matters worse, I can't even go somewhere else to buy because I'd lose nearly 6k in Sales Tax credit.

That is what my dealer told me.
He said:
So the safety group on a 2022 includes the following: blinds pot and cross path detection, adaptive cruise control w/ stop, digital rearview mirror, lane keep assist, full speed forward collision warning plus, and adaptive steering system.
Scratch all that. I missed the Laramie part of the question.

If the order has entered D status, is it not possible to make option list changes? My dealer didn’t seem to think it is possible.

Apologies if this was previously/asked and answered I could not find it.

Once you have a vin then no changes allowed i believe. So you really only had about 48 for changes after submission

That’s old. That was last year before they renamed all the 1 and 2 groups/packages to A and B groups/packages to exclude BSM because of the chip shortage. The only way to get it on a Laramie is as a stand alone option.
Thank you for the info. I’m trying to have it added. Hopefully I can.

I tried to add Air-Ride and was told there’d be a 50/50 chance they’d accept and it would re-adjust the MSRP of the truck. Asked what the price increase would be and she told me she wouldn’t know until/if the change was accepted but that she’s seen a couple thousand in MSRP increases.

My truck is in “D” status with a VIN.

They told me it was mandatory as well and they basically told me to pound sand or I have to get it. Dumbest game in the world!

It’s possible but the changes to have to be accepted by the factory. I made changes a week after having a vin, and at that time it was in D1 status. The changes were accepted a week later and I have the updated POC reflecting that. Its worth pushing your dealer to submit the changes but they might not happen.

What's your VIN? There were probably ~25k orders in for 2022's around July 5th. Assuming they have production ramped up and are cranking out ~750 trucks per day, That would put your truck about 33 days out from 8/9 for being built. Then 5-6 weeks for shipping. I'd say early Nov is very best case probably. Maybe late Nov or early Dec.

There are other factors in play, that's just a very simplified break down and lots of speculation :)
Silly question to ask…I noticed the order tracking spreadsheet now has some additional columns. One is Blindspot monitoring….is that included in the safety package? If not, what package is it included…if any?
