What did you do TO your RAM today?

Done... For this week that is. Showed one of my co-workers this pic and he wondered why I have a Chevy Equinox in my bed. Not sure I fully understand why, but the truck actually feels peppier. Maybe it was just that I was excited, or the discount tire guys messed with my pedal commander. These are Fuel Rebel 8 anthracite 20x9 +1 wheels with 35x11.5x20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

This combo looks amazing! I’m actually planning on same wheels in 20x10.

Don’t care for most Fuel wheels, but those are pure sex!

Do you think the pedal commander is better than the banks monster pedal ?
I cant say for certain but I would think they are very similar. Both allow you to adjust the lag between pedal and throttle. I think the banks works through the obd port while PC plugs directly into pedal. So banks may be a little easier to install and remove.

Aluminum? Pretty sure they are steel.

Pretty sure that's already been discussed. ;)

Is the aluminum tailgate just a myth or is it only on certain models. A magnet sticks to my 21 tailgate. Hood is def Aluminum though.

It’s definitely steel. I was curious myself when mine came in, and a magnet sticks.

I stand corrected. For some reason, I assumed it was aluminum. That lift strut really makes it light.

I always heard, and thought it was, too, which is why I checked. It’s definitely a little lighter than the the one it replaced on my 2017.

It was at the bottom of the page, didn’t realize there was another page until I posted. Too late, oh well.
yes it’s steel because yes it’s actually damn heavy when you have to pick it up!
Our work f250 alumiduty tailgate is really light though! Downside is it got crunched and they can’t pop it out like a steel gate. Had to get a whole new one, $1200 after paint

How does the back seat sleep? Worth it...

Used alfhaobd for the first time. Got the current gear indicator, fogs on with high beams and the forward facing camera all set up. Thanks to all the guys that posted info on them especially @Jimmy07 @Brutal_HO. That is going to be a very handy tool down the road.

Haha, its a little cramped. Maybe shoulda gone with the Mega cab! Thinking of rigging up a window unit for some AC. That 6.4 drinks too much gas to let it run all night.

All jokes aside, my wife is pretty cool when it comes to my truck hobby. Guess she figures that I haven't really changed too much in the last 21 years so no use in fighting it.

Do you have a link to the unit you purchased? Was the forward facing camera never an option on that screen? Also, does the current gear not normally display on the dash? I only got to test drive a '20 EcoDiesel then ordered a '22 2500 diesel, and eventually took my neighbors 3500 HO literally around the block to verify I didn't want to go that big so I'm pretty unfamiliar with them. Thx!

This is what i bought but you will also need the Kaodtech bypass cable and alphaobd. If you search pasts posts you’ll find way more detail on all three. There is a lot of info put out by way smarter people on it. Ive spent the last month researching before pulling the trigger. Far as i know the forward facing camera was never an option on these trucks and i believe has only worked on 8.4” models. I have the 360 degree cameras and was able to turn the front option o. I believe the current gear indicator may be an option on certain models but not all.

The current gear display was shown in some OM as an option that could be enabled in the EVIC, but it's not there.

You can, of course, see it once you tap - on the gear lockout, but some wanted it to always show. AlfaOBD to the rescue.

Realized that a good alignment shop is like a good woman. When you find a good one keep 'em, and don't run around on 'em. I thought I would try a different shop because it was more convenient. I was in a hurry when I picked the truck up. They said everything was good to go and it was my mistake for trusting that. Realized last night that they had one of the caster bolts pointing to the front of the truck and one 180 degrees to the rear. In my level garage it looked like my driver wheel was sitting in a pot hole. Over an inch lean side to side. Its a head scratcher for me because it didnt drive bad or pull at all. But i dont fully understand how it works. Just know what I have read from the paperwork that came with my Thuren kit. So I had to go crawling back to my old shop, tail between my legs, and beg for forgiveness and promise them I'd quit running around letting anyone with a nice rack play with my undercarriage.
