This is what I have it mounts where the tongue jack is and the jack goes in the center of it. It’s called a jack-it bike rack. Works good and it’s been over 5k miles. But it only holds 2 bikes

All the kids bikes go on a four place rack on the back of our TT. My bike lays on the master bed and one more goes in the bed of my truck. Hauling 6 bikes sucks!

I have a tonneau cover and wanted all our bikes to fit under it. I took the front tires off of three 26” mountain bikes, and laid them flat alternating which direction they pointed with a moving blanket in between each one. A fourth 20” bike was able to fit without removing the front tire. I have an 8’ bed and had 2’ left over for coolers, camping stuff, etc. and was glad I could still shut the tailgate lol.

I used one of these receiver hitch bike carriers when shuttling my kids back and forth to college. It worked well.

A Ratcheting cargo bar, a couple Fork mounts attached with some angle and ubolts.
Not perfect, but keeps the bike(s) secure inside the topper without laying it down taking all the space. As you can see, plenty of space next to it for other gear, and to still sleep inside the topper. Downside, if bike is dirty, it brings the dirt inside the topper.

I do not With the truck. They don’t sway side to side at all on top of the bedcover. When utikizing My sedan there are rear wheel suction mounts I use. Mounts pop right off when you are done and store in the rambox.

This is cool, especially the versatility. I too am wondering how the rear wheels are held on the tonneau?

This was how I have it setup when I had my 2500 CCSB. It frees up the hitch for towing the trailer. Bed side rails using the stake pockets, a couple of longest load bars, and use your favorite bike roof rack.

We use a 4 bike rack from Alta Racks, checkout altraracks.com. it is solid, heavy and expensive. But I have found it best for us because we haul 4 bikes at a time. They are hauled vertical rather than horizontal and do not block the taillights. I hate when the brake lights or turn signals are covered. The bikes attach very securely and do not move going down the road or trail. So far it is looking like the last rack I will ever have to buy.

I use a 1-up rack and feel these are the best after owning many brands through the years. I use it on the truck and 5th wheel, and here is a pic of it on the 5th wheel as that is the only pic I could find.
