2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Finally pulled the trigger on a 2022 2500 Limited 4x4 Longbed 6.7L from Sandi…

Currently have a 2020 2500 Laramie 4x4 6.4L
So what is the price she gave you for the truck the EP price?

Just checked my vin and couple others…… now saying plant hold! Hope its temp thing
Is this Traffic Code "KA-OA" Plant Hold Audit or inspection for QU/QC? I got that code from Post #2374 above. This will happen a lot at the very beginning of start up so the Plant ensures that everything is just right and built according to specs.

Heard the same, but when you look at the FCA order status page, they show updates into D1 status. who knows for sure???????
I think they are still using codes internally....but are telling the public that they aren't.....for example Ram Chat says we don't use them anymore.....so we don't bother them with so many questions....just my 2 cents

Any one know if the 2022 Limited 2500 can be ordered without fender flares? & is it possible to get the 8.4 screen instead of the 12" screen in a limited? I know goofy questions. Just trying to get exactly what i want. Thanks!
I'll just trade you my 8.4 with nav from Laramie for your 12.

Just got the words HD2 Status. Should have a shipment date within a week or 2. Told I should have it beginning of September

emailed Sandi today as it had been a few weeks since i had touched base with her. No update for my 5/31 order.

she said "No production information yet. Check back with me in at the end of the month, early September."

I am really in no hurry to get the truck, but its super confusing that orders placed long after mine have d1 and estimated ship dates.

It's been discussed here before somewhere. The explanation in a nutshell is that the factory does not operate on the concept of first order in-- first order out. It groups the orders in a way that is most efficient to produce trucks at the factory. This means less reconfiguration on the line and a higher volume of trucks being produced in a given day. I'm sure there are others who can explain it in more detail.

I get that 100%. But even with that their process is completely confusing. At first I thought " ok not many megas and especially 3500 megas" I was quickly corrected that alot of people with mega's and 3500 megas had ship dates.

There is really no Common denominator for they way they decide what to build and when

I'm sure there is a common denominator, but it's just not obvious to people like us who are removed from the nuts and bolts of the production line.

Is the tracking spreadsheet setup to be updated as the entries go through the production line. My sales rep is unavailable for the couple of days and I am wanting to check my order, 3C6UR5FJXNG115221. It fas an estimated ship date of the 12th.

Nope. Guessing there aren’t any APIs or other means setup for us to query that info.

Pretty similar to what I heard a week ago. Given their volume, I'm a bit surprised there are no updates, but she's been swamped. I sure do wish there was a site we could use so we didn't have to bug the dealer or waste time with RAM chat.

Hope you get some good news soon.
