2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Just discovered this forum after having issues with the local dealer providing my VON and VIN after 4 weeks from date of order. Got that straightened out today, and RamChat confirms the usual "collecting parts" for future assembly on an unspecifiied date. VIN 3C63R3KL1NG117124, ordered 6-28-2021.

I'm guessing with this hyper-focused group, we'll hear about it here first when assembly actually begins? This is my first time for placing an order for a vehicle, have learned quite a bit so far just from reading this thread. Looking forward to learning more as we all move towards assembly startup.

I was told by Aaron that he could not add the led lighting on level 1. He said when he chooses that option the leds are ghosted out. He said maybe it comes with the leds.
He emailed me back a few hours later saying he checked with his rep and it is included in level B (2) and I’d have to upgrade to that level to get the lights, which I didn’t.
That’s the story I got. True? Who knows.

Not sure why adding the LED to the Bighorn has been such a hassle. I was pricing out a Big Horn vs Laramie and tried adding them to a 2021 6.7L on the Ram Site. It added them and it requires the Level B group, but then that deselected the Heated Wheel & Steering Group. And I didn't see the heated group bundled in the Level B. Anyway I know this is on the hokey Ram Site, but it's vey odd even the dealer's don't know what package the LED's are in for 2022. I feel ya.

I was told the same thing on a 3500 Bighorn Level 2 Equipment Group build from Sandi from Lake Charles, we are trying to get clarification from their Rep if it's a mistake or correct on the premium lighting group if it's included in Level 2 Equipment Group.

I just looked at the tech package based on your info, I will wait to see what Sandi comes back with. If the only way to get premium lighting is with the tech package then that's it. It shouldn't be this hard to build a truck, just put up the 2022 configurator already.

Yep,slow! It's the only spot I saw LED hdlamps on a BH

Ordered 7/15. Vin: 3C63R3PL3NG121717

I received the same automated response from Ram chat and to check back in a week. First truck I have ordered, curious to see how it goes!

When they first started having supply issues, they took some items out of Level 2 and made that the Level B. If you wanted those extra items, you had to order them on their own. It’s possible that Ram is starting to pull those back in to a Level 2. Maybe that’s why you can’t add the lighting in.

when they build the truck, does it show the package components like this? Just to verify if they actually are in Level 2 or not.

I've been seeing that you guys are getting the power steps as a line item with the Laramie package. I definitely wanted them, but for some reason, they aren't available on builds with the 8.4" screen and Longhorn package.

I wanted to get the pedal commander and that would be taking up one Obd2 spot, so I'd have to figure out a way to make the ill-fitting Amp steps to also work with that. If I could just get the factory power steps added to my Longhorn build, that would save me a big headache

AMP Research makes an OBD2 splitter that'll give you 2 ports.

Hopefuly you bought from Mark dodge and saved 12% of msrp ,best deal on the planet.

They were willing to do "possibly" a $2k discount since I bought two trucks from them previously. That was Sat. Today, MSRP! Ha!
I’d cancel that order and order from mark dodge see king pin Aaron ,you’ll save 12% off msrp ,just think what you could do with more than $7,000

Decided to give my local dealer one more shot on discounting a 2022 HD. They didn't budge. Still want MSRP. No surprise. So, I finally decided on what I want and ordered with Sandi @ Mark Dodge today. Ordered a "budget friendly" 3500 Longhorn SRW 4x4 6'4" Bed.
Very smart move

Far from the best deal on the Planet! If you American guys could live with the longer build times
you could save a lot of money purchasing from a Canadian Dealer.

As Kingphillips said "How do you figure..." Canada has the best deals? Ordered through Sandi; 2022 Laramie 3500 CC, 4x4, et cetera with a 80k msrp , I am paying 71k. Unless you can convince me that a Canadian Dealer can do a lot better. I will be getting my wife's vehicle from Sandi at Mark Dodge.
