Installed these in my '21 tradesman. They are white under normal operation but light up bright amber when using turn signals. See comparison from old (passenger) to new (driver). Will keep yall posted if I have any issues. Will also try to get a video uploaded.

Where'd you get these? I'd be interested in swapping out mine as I think the Tradesman headlights are lacking but I don't feel like dropping $1000 on new LED replacements.

Cool. I had ordered a set for mine as well, but sold the truck. Giving them to a buddy who has a Laramie, no LED turns.

Did you have to use a pnw harness for the headlights or do the plug straight into the factory harness? Do you get bulb out warning on the dash?

I ran a set of switchback like that for a while. It was great because I wired them to also be my DRL's so it was nice having the white light but at the end of the day I switched back to normal bulbs. Personal preference but just didn't like that as park lights they are white when everything else is amber.

Plugged straight into factory harness. No dash warnings. Only complaint is that these bulbs are designed to spin so that you can align the leds to be at 9 and 3 o'clock. This made it hard to lock them in place because when you tried to rotate the tabs into place the bulb would just spin. Other than that they are bright and look great.

Thanks for the info, I’m not a fan of rams signature lighting and thought I could live with the low output halogens, but I missed the leds I used to have on my tundra, hopefully these are a happy medium.

Installing the headlights is fun (sarcasm). You have to pull the airbox out on pass side. Not too hard to do but kinda tricky. Then you have to go through wheel well trap door on the driver side low beam. These bulbs are polarity sensitive too so you have a 50/50 shot at getting it the first time. I only had to remove one out of four and reverse the connector. I looked like i got into a fight with a cat after changing all those bulbs out. At least you dont have to remove the headlight.

What year is this on? I never pulled the air box on my Gen 4, just the grill which is easy and you can get to the bolts to remove the light and change the bulbs.

2021 - Everything I have worked on so far seems to be twice as hard as my 4th gen

I’m not too worried about the install. I had to physically remove the headlights on my first tundra to replace the bulbs. After watching the install video it looks like all I have to do is unplug a couple sensors and undo a hose clamp and shimmy it out. I’ll be putting film on the headlights at the same time and I’m sure that will take longer than installing the bulbs.

I installed these in my 19 Tradesmen 3500 with the halogens. I used AlfaOBD to set my DRL to front turn signal instead of the default low beam headlight setting. I keep getting front turn signal out errors and the white DRL doesn't work, just a dimmer amber vs when the turn signals are activated. Something wrong with the bulbs or anyone have any advice on how to correct this?
