I use Android Auto on a regular basis. Yesterday, for the first time, I used Spotify. Now every time I start the truck it launches Spotify. How do I shut this off?

Go in app settings on your phone? Click on the app and you will get some options.....hit the little i button in the upper right and see what the settings are at for that particular app. Turn almost everything off....except maybe something about saving info.

Report back.

Looks like you were right. Pretty sure it was "Spotify connect in the background". It was active. Turned it off, problem gone.

It's like a damn google with their ads, you search for something random once, and for a month afterwards you'd be getting news stories and ads about that.

My problem is the wife and I share a spotify account. So when I'm listening to XM and she's at home and opens spotify, my phone switches to spotify which in turn shifts uconnect to spotify of whatever she's listening to and boots her off.

She goes blank and I have to listen to whatever she put on.

If you don’t have a family plan, I’m guessing you’re “sharing” via Spotify connect? If so, when she wants to listen to something on a device, she has to click on the connect icon, and that will show what device Spotify is currently playing on, and what device she wants the music to be playing on, so she would choose “this device”.
