Wreck on I-70 - Parked Ram HD vs Semi

Impressive that the driver of the Ram was taken away with injuries (even if they were critical). I didn’t expect someone to survive that demo.
 
Makes one appreciate a bigger vehicle. Anything smaller and he likely would not have survived
 
Doesn't sound like he was actually in the truck? News reports said he stopped to work on the truck or trailer that was attached?

On February 27, 2021 I took delivery of my 2021 Ram 2500. Six days later on March 4th it was totaled. It had less than 500 miles on it. I was traveling down a 2 lane highway at 70 mph when a 18 wheeler came into my lane. All I had time to do was get on the shoulder. His truck hit me starting at the left rear door and went down the side of the truck. It knocked my truck back on the road and then it skidded on its side for awhile and then rolled 3 times. Needless to say my truck was totaled. I received my replacement truck on March 31 and now it is in the shop waiting on a engine. It has 4500 miles on it. Cam and lifter problem. It is a 6.4 gasser. With all the metal shavings in the engine they have decided to replace it. Engine is supposed to be delivered on October 8.
