I recently installed a GMRS radio in my Power Wagon in anticipation of some upcoming group trips.
I have used Midland MXT GMRS radios in the past 3 vehicles that I installed a fixed mount radio, but I decided to give the Wouxun a chance this time around.
Main radio body is mounted under rear passenger seat on baseplate of scrap aluminum I had in my “scrap metal” bin in my garage.
The faceplate is mounted to a mix of random things I had laying around and then stuffed in the little slot above the wireless charger.
It hasn’t moved yet in my testing Offroad, so it will likely stay there for as long as I keep the truck.
Antenna is mounted to driver side of a set of $15.000 Amazon a pillar light brackets.
The radio is powered through my switch pro.
Mic mount will move locations, but I’m not sure where yet.
Dashboard is really dusty…..I cleaned up after I took photos
