This morning I wanted to remote start my Ram, but I accidentally hit the panic button. After that, I could not get it to stop honking for about 5 minutes. Now it won't crank up at all and is doing all kinds of weird things. Running boards won't retract, and if I put it in Run, there is a loud popping/crackling sound from the speakers (pops about once every 5 seconds). Also, the center info screen shows parking sensors not working, antilock brakes not working, et cetera. I waited and hour and tried again, still wont start, but locks and unlocks from key fob. Also, the popping sound is still there too, when in Run position. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this ? I'm thinking I will disconnect the batteries and make sure they are fully charged, then try again... ARGH

How old are the batteries?

New since March this year.

I did remove the negative cables, charged for 1 hour, then reconnected the battery cables and it cranked up like nothing happened... No codes or anything. Very strange
