Wiring Air Compressor under Passenger seat 2024 - 3500

Have a 2024 diesel 3500 short bed single rear wheel truck Laramie. Would like to add an ARB twin compressor to it.
I can't find anything for the diesel in the engine compartment

So thinking about either the boxes under the rear seat - I see a couple companies making a kit
or Under the passenger seat., I see Desert Does It has a kit.

Any experience as to which one ends up better?

Any tips for running the power wire?
I think you come through the hole for a manual transmission on drivers firewall. But then not sure best way to get to passenger side and from passenger side to the ARB. I am expecting to run 2 wires positive & negative - guessing about 2 gauge possibly can get by with 4. not sure if can run under dash then maybe there is a channel under the door sill. Or just under the carpet or whats best. I am guessing some of you all have done this and know the best/easiest way.

Arb comes with a wiring harness that should be long enough. If it isn’t you need 4 wires for the twin compressor 2 power wires 1 ground it will split at the compressor and go to each motor and on off wire. The power wires are minimum 10 awg and need a 40 amp fuse. The harness also comes with extra wiring to be used with arb locker solenoids. You can cut them down if needed.
I used a custom bracket by NHoverland and mounted my compressor under the bed on the passenger side. I’d rather have other things in the cab with me rather than an air compressor
Now getting the wiring in the cab you could drill a hole and use a cable gland or come through a body plug.

I did a quick skim of the install manual, but didn't catch everything of course.

It was not obvious if it can be mounted on its side or upside down under the truck or not in what I read, but that could be handy.

~ 70 amps for the 12 volt version, I assume half for the 24 volt version.

If I am reading it correctly, the switch in the cab to turn it on / off is 8 amps, so 10 or 14 awg would be enough. Double check my interpretation.

Sorry I obviously was not clear enough. I will try and clarify.

Since I would only be using it to air something up (like tires) I don't think it would bother me to have it in the cab. Not like it would be on very often. I have small tool box in the back I was thinking I'd move the jack & tire tool to if did the front passenger seat. It is nice that using the boxes under the rear seat I could leave the tire tool & jack alone though.

I am still mostly worried about the best way to get the power wires run from the battery ( a positive and negative) to the compressor. I have put several of these compressors in other vehicles so its not the electrical concepts. Its the physical process of where to run the wire to get it from battery to compressor that I am not sure how to do.

I am not worried about the switch, its the power feed cables I want to understand the best way to run.

I was also wondering if anyone else had done this and how they liked it.

I have an ARB dual under the passenger seat in my Jeep. I'm a huge fan of the twin compressor as I also have the portable ARB dual kit with the 1gallon tank. With that said, if I were to be in the market today I would wait for the new brushless compressors to come out. The new ARB brushless single compressor's output 3/4 of what the current dual compressor is now. That, and requiring less space makes it my pic for lockers or airing up tires.

As for routing power wires. Route them along side the center console and through the firewall directly to the battery. The on/off switch I would put where it won't be in the way or get bumped.

I've had compressors mounted in several different places in my Jeep over the years and by far my favorite is inside under the passenger seat. The installation takes longer, but you don't have to deal with lifting the hood and dealing with dirt/mud/heat/cold.

So you would come under the carpet from under the passenger seat to the edge of the center console and then under the carpet up along the console to under the dash. Then stay under the dash and cross over to the hole where clutch go through fire wall in front of driver and out to the battery?
Where you able to just use a fish tape to get the wiring under the carpet like that?
