Never really heard of "winterizing" a truck. I live in Alberta, Canada, so not quite as harsh conditions as Anchorage, but similar. Just make sure you have a block heater, plug it in before driving in the cold, and maybe throw a grille cover on. Oh, and make sure you have the cold weather windshield washer fluid in too. Get some good winter tires, maybe even studded. Maybe put some weight in the box to help out too - sandbags, etc.
